    Default Tony Parker

I'm just throwing this out there for discussion. Not sure if we talked about it before. But Rumor is that Tony maybe on the trade block. Not sure how true. But how does everyone feel about him, if it is feasible to bring him here. I knew of Tony but never followed the Spurs that close but I think it would not be a bad idea, he only 27, they have George Hill there and he could be a upgrade to Felton if we decide not to retain him.

Id trade Felton in a sign and trade + Nazr's expiring + Lexy for him and Matt Bonner.
I dont see 'it' (Tony being traded anywhere) happening though.

He may be 27 in human years, but he's far older in terms of basketball years. He's already played 131 playoff games. That's a ton of wear and tear.

All things considered though, I'd definitely welcome him and think he'd be an improvement on Ray, his expiring would be attractive as it would go along with the rest of our guys next summer.

I'd look at a S&T with Ray, Jack, and Lexy for Parker, Roger Mason, and a 1st.

Parker is brilliant, we all know that.
However, again the wear and tear on his body is to be questioned.
He's got plenty of experience, but has also had a lot of injuries.

I'm a horrible trader, but I suppose it would involve something with Felton and Jax.

Would mean our lineup would be:

    Parker/DJ
    Hughes/Hendo (or vice-versa)
    Crash/Graham/UPS
    TT/Diaw/UPS
    TC:Nazzy:Theo

Not too bad, rather weak on the SG side of things, although that would depend on Hendo's development over the off-season.

I would try for Flip over Hughes (or possibly both at their price). Hell, sign anyone that can hit a wide-open 3 pointer and stick him at the 2-spot. It's worked for San Antonio for years.

    I'd easily do Felton/Jax/Lex for Tony/Toni/Tone, Mason and a #1.

Still, for one year, I'd give it a shot. Maybe a 1-year extension, then CP3?

I would take Parker in a heartbeat and get rid of felton. By the time he has passed it DJ can take over (we hope)

First off, why would any of you want Matt Bonner?

Second, I don't even think that you'd have to throw that much in for a Felton S&T for Parker (such as assets like young players or future picks). Parker's beat up, and will remain beat up because his of his off-season schedule. If San Antonio is looking to drop TP for a starting level point guard with some decent experience while they continue to groom George Hill, then I think that they almost have to go after Felton if they intend to do it this year.

If we give up anything other than filler to make the (still unlikely at best) deal work, then we're getting shafted.
