Uh, guys, Evan is Philly's #1...only way they would trade the pick is either the Wizards pick Turner OR someone takes all of Brand's contract for nothing. That's why I said unless we trade Diop or Diaw its not worth it.

    Smokescreen.

Wall/Turner is the best 1/2 draft picks since Odom/Durant. Durant turned out to be a steal at #2. Philly will not take anything less than a sign and trade for an elite talent (Wade, Bosh, Deron Williams, Dwight Howard, etc) plus taking Brand off their hands. And we all know nobody will do this. Getting a talent like Turner is huge enough but also getting him at a cost of only a few million per season early on makes the #2 pick worth a value near impossible for any team to match.

Lock it in. Washington and Philly will ask for the world and nothing less for the top 2 picks.

Odom? i guess you mean Oden, but anyway....you are delusional....nearly as delusional as they would be to think they could get a single player you listed....you would be surprised to see what a team would give up to unload a huge contract

Wall and Turner are way overrated. There is a lot of competition at the guard positions in the NBA. Neither is a sure thing. It is a lot different when you are seven feet tall.

I wouldn't take brand for the #2. If Turner doesn't turn out to be great you destroy your team for three years with Brands awful contract.

I wouldn't bite on that, with Brand and his massive contract.
Like everyone said, i would only be willing to take Brand's contract with Diop and Diaw. At least Brand can contribute, Diop can't do crap.

Anything other than that, I would say no.

Forget Jax, forget Diop and forget Boris. IF the Sixers are willing to part with the 2nd overall they're going to AT LEAST want all expirings and would probably prefer instant cap savings right now. They're already over the LT limit for next year and they still need to add players.

That's at the least. Most likely they'd also want either a pick or an up and coming young talent.

Remember what I said about trading picks at their highest point?

I think Ford is right...no one will take a deal they'd want.

    Bobcats trade- chandler, dj, diaw
    Bobcats get- cp3, brand

    Line-up
    C-Naz/Theo/Diop
    PF-Brand/UPS
    SF-Wallace
    SG-Jax
    PG-cp3

Reason: playmaker in paul and first time ever low post scorer

    76ers trade- brand, #2 pick, sammy d
    76ers get- chandler, peja, diaw

    Line-up
    C-Speights/Tyson
    PF-Diaw/Speights
    SF-Peja/Thad
    SG-Iggy
    PG-Jrue/Lou

Reason: unload a terrible contract in brand and also move sammy for a more athletic big man...also having a TON of money coming off the books after next season

    Hornets trade- cp3, peja
Hornets get- #2 pick, dj, sammy D, S&T tyrus

    Line-up
    C-Okafor/Sammy D
    PF-West/Ed Davis(11th pick)
    SF-Tyrus
    SG-Evan Turner/Thorton
    PG-Collison/DJ

Reason: Get younger an will have the 2nd and 11th pick...also can package sammy's big expiring at the deadline for something...losing paul might seem like a big hit, but collison has proved to be very capable of picking up the slack...adding turner (brandon roy clone), an athletic freak in tyrus, and possibly ed davis could make for a scary line up

never in a million years would this happen. 76ers are offended by this offer. they will need to swap picks with NO AND get a future 1st from both us and them. even if this is a good move for the future of the franchise, imagine if you were a 6ers fan. the disappointment would be massive.

agree with chef.... the sixers get bent over (sans lube) on that deal. they would be giving up a future franchise player with the #2 overall and a serviceable, albeit expensive pf. in return they get an underachieving center, a sf past his prime and a soft as hell inconsistent pf. us and new orleans benefit tremendously.

I think this talk of the 76ers unloading Brand may be a bit overstated. I'm sure they'd love to trade him, but the guy can still play. He's not the albatross some are making him out to be. My guess is that they'd like to get a quality player that would fit into a package for Brand's contract, essentially drafting a talented veteran while moving Brand's contract. I may be wrong, but I don't think they just want to give away the 2nd pick in order to rid themselves of Brand's contract.
    SOMEONE will pay for THIS!
