Muttley, I had that same thought about Sessions and relating it to Felton. I think we'd still keep Felton. I think the plan no matter what is to keep Felton and we're going to make a very solid effort to bringing him back. I just would be shocked if we didn't see Raymond Felton back on a long term deal for the Charlotte Bobcats.
I see what you're saying. I'm of the mind that says that we'll mostly stand pat this offseason. However, that's not stopping me from speculating (for conversation's sake) on what kind of trades could be.

I'm still not sure about Felton's re-signing, because he turned down the offer last year, the cap implications, and the competition from other teams to sign him. I would not be entirely shocked by the team going either way on him (unless the contract is something absurd). I wanna say that I think it's almost as likely that Demarcus Nelson will be on the team next year as it is that Ray returns.

You answered your own question. In the only credible deal with Gana & Boris I've seen we were taking back Hedo's terrible contract.

No need to take offense. For the most part I liked your scenario.

There's no offense on my part...just discussing. I question the validity of the Hedo rumors because I don't think Michael Jordan bought the team to take on even worse contracts than the deals he has now. I just question that, in this market, we're going to find someone this year to take on the contracts of Diop and Diaw without being killed with contracts that I don't feel Michael wants to be strapped with.

You don't think they could get better than Nazr? Kevin Love was a 5th overall pick, and the reason he was behind Darko was because of fit with AL Jeff. They also don't need expirings.

Besides, the rumors have them preferring to move Al Jeff over Love.

It'd be awesome for you to be right, but I don't see it.

That's the question of the day. Not the idea of them wanting to deal both guys away for expiring deals, but whether or not Nazr is the best contract they could acquire to make the deal.

I don't know honestly, but I do know we'll be looking to send one of our expiring contracts for some players that can be huge contributors on the 2010/2011 Charlotte Bobcats roster. I also hope it happens as I really like Love and Sessions, but it's just a matter of whether Minnesota can't find a better offer.

I just took a stab thinking it might be this deal, but like I said in my disclaimer, this might not be the exact deal, but I feel that's the kind of deal we're looking to make in this market. We have 2 pieces that are valuable league wide and it might supersede the normal value in a deal.

I'm curious what you think is going to happen because it's just different than what I think.
Well when the owner has already said we were going to upgrade the position it kind of hinted Felton wa out but I maybe wrong. And it's the NBA no one knows what's going to happen. But if I had to take a REALISTIC guess I'd say we bring in one or two second rounders mos likely a pg and pf and then they trade for pg, most likely a vet and most likely they will sign flip or Larry.

One of these teams who can sign multiple free agents could easily bring in Ray for 10 mil a year if they dnt get a big name. And mj can and won't matchit.

If Felton isn't brought back, then I see your point. I'm speculating Felton is coming back and thus is the big reason why I feel this is the route we'd go to.

I think Felton isn't coming back, just the vibe I got from Rod Higgins' comments, so I think the more likely situation is trading for a PG. And I don't see the Wolves trading Love and Sessions for Nazr, they're a team with a good young nucleus wanting to get better and acquiring Nazr does not make them better.

Love and Sessions? Wolves wouldn't bite for that. I see them shopping Jefferson, not Love and Sessions.

Rumor has it that Minny has been shopping (or at least putting out feelers) Jefferson but teams are very nervous about that rehabed knee and that remaining contract.

Of course, looking at his 2010 stats, one would think those fears would calm down but I guess not.
