Not necessarily dealing with DS2, but the Dead Space-verse in general. Just finished the novel Dead Space Martyr, and for any Dead Space-phile, I couldn't recommend it more. It basically details the origins of Unitology (and boy is it fucked) through the eyes of its "creator" Michael Altman. It's not high art of course, but it's required reading for any Dead Space nut.

Time for you to come out of hibernation Beagle, we're in Training Camp!
Bump this bad boy up as it's coming out in a couple weeks. Praying my HexBox, errrr, XBox is fixed/replaced by then as I'm ready to go day one and don't want it to be a repeat of last year when the piece of shit was being fixed and had to wait to play Mass Effect 2 for a couple weeks.

Go easy on me, I'm from England, and no... I Don't love the Queen.
Yeah, the plasma cutter is the bread and butter weapon of the game (imagine it will be for the sequel as well). Secondary fire for the other weapons were awesome and helped get me through a Nightmare difficulty playthrough; but I easily got through a normal playthrough just using the cutter.
From what I've read, if you have a save file from the first game, when you load up the second, you get a souped-up plasma cutter to begin with.
