I really, really hate to make a ballwhore-like post, but...
I caught word today that Chris Paul was recently in Charlotte having a "meeting" with Michael Jordan. Now the meeting could be about many different things, but I would like to assume (hope) that it was about the potential trade possibilities as he recently claimed he'd be open to one.
So please take that with a gigantic grain of salt, but don't give up hope yet! We might still have something in the works

You know I also was gonna post something like this the other day but I didnt want to be like ballwhore or anything. Anyway I was out eating and watching the USA soccer game on saturday and I was sitting behind this group of people who were talking all about the NBA and LeBron, etc etc...
Later on I decided that they were sports writers because the one guy, who had all the info on everything, was from out of town and he had mentioned covering a team. Their was also another woman who seemed to be quite knowledgable, that was sitting with him. The first guy started talking about the Bobcats with the woman and thats when my attention was captured by their conversation. So I was listening in and they started talking about Chris Paul. The one guy said that MJ wasnt sure if he wanted to bring CP3 in for various reason and he wasnt completely sure if we could get him. The lady said that she heard MJ and LB were bringing in CP3 in a few days to talk with him about something and that LB wanted to bring in CP3 for next season at any cost.
So yeah, Im shocked that you heard that Swedd because it pretty much backs up what I heard on Saturday.
And again, I dont know who these people were or anything but they definatley had some sort of 'hookup'.
Oh yeah, while they were eating the woman answered the phone and was talking for a few minutes, and when she hung up, she told the guy it was Pat the Bobcats announcer. lolololol

is there anyway this happens without giving up gerald or jack?
^ Do not tease me, please do not tease me. I'm going to eat all that speculation up.

I can't disclose where I got the information for obvious reasons. But hopefully my "reputation" is enough to garner some sort of believability. I have never posted a rumor in my tenure on BCP and wouldn't have posted this if I didn't trust it.
Add that in with what Ammofan just mentioned and I can't help but assume that we're heavily, albeit quietly, targeting Chris Paul. This could, of course, never come to fruition for whatever reasons so don't bash me if it doesn't. There is absolutely no way to confirm anything as there is too much going on with other teams to know for sure.
Have hope fellow BCP fanatics!
it would be hard not to...the only way i see it happening, is if paul meets with the owner behind closed doors and says "i am not signing here long term and want to go back home to nc...i won't publicly say this, but if you dont trade me, i will b forced too tell the world I want out"
but even then, we would b lucky to not have to give up either wallace/jack...i imagine we would have to take on some horrible contracts...maybe even okafor again...but i think it would b worth it...obviously it would show us that jordan wants to win at any cost...maybe that means no tyrus??
C-Okafor
PF-Diaw/Tyrus
SF-Wallace
SG-Jack
PG-CP3
that starting line-up would be insane...but i am not getting my hopes up...i think the only way the hornets give up cp3 is for wallace

The fact that it's been mentioned seriously means it won't happen.
We never know what's going to happen until it already has. Not even Tyrus was expected. Much less Jack, Theo Ratliff, Flip, Gana, J-Rich, Diaw/Bell, or Vladi. Or even Nazr. And sure as hell not DJ or Lexy.
And CP3 is part of Jordan Brand...
We landed Jax in a good deal. Although I would miss his scoring, giving up Jax for CP3 is a no-brainer in my eyes. I would do that deal yesterday.
