Fox News, Shirley Sherrod and Racism
Fox "news" has done it once again.
How can so many people watch and believe anything from this channel.
why did the white house have her fired without reading the entire speech?
why did the naacp not stand behind her in the beginning?
why did people in the audience loudly applaud the overt racism towards the white farmer?
if presbo is supposed the first post-racial pres, why are race relations so bad and why does his term keep coming back to race ie beer summit?
I dont believe anything from a channel that has WWE esque fueds with the Daily Show.
Funny that people blame it on FOX when she had gotten fired before fox ever aired anything on the story. The whitehouse called her and put heat on her to resign because they were saying she was going to be on Fox on the Glenn Beck show. Beck didnt even mention her on his show, and nobody made a mention of it until Oreilly at like 8:30. By then everyone already threw her under the bus and didnt even listen to the whole video. Then the next day Beck came on and defended her right to apologize as she was doing in the video.

Ok....First off if you want to talk about facts you should try getting yours correct. The story hit the conservative blogs and talk radio 1st. Then it was brought up on the fox morning news. No one but Fox took this story seriously. The Whitehouse didn't want Glenn Beck talking about it because he seems to overhype, lie and cursade against things till his silly minded fanclub makes enough noise and something is done. Glenn Beck said himself the day before that he'd heard of the story but didn't have the facts so he didn't get into it. But hate monger Oreilly sure couldn't past it up. But between me and you Beck never knows the facts. He's a found the light former drunk self admitted "rodeo clown", He doesn't do news he does propaganda clearly never backed by any facts just right wing talking points.Originally Posted by millst2

Fox is not News....I watch Fox every single day, I know all the hosts by name. They are all liers, they all are right wing bias, they have no respect for anyone outside their typical viewers. They are anti any religion not christian, anti gay, anti civil rights, anti workers rights, anti union, anti enviromental care. Fox "news" can't be defended...They made up this Sherrod story with the help of talk radio and the inernet blogs. Made it up!!! Then broadcast it as real news, just think they tried to do with the Black Panthers stopping voters story.

Wow, you do realize that judging Fox News based on Glen Beck and Bill O'Riley is like judging NBC based on Days of our lives and The Office, right? John Stewart has several times said he is the "Anti - Bill O'Riley" so every time you rail against Bills right wing bias and say you love Stewart you are acknowledging your own left wing stance. And thats cool, no problem with that. Just make sure you know what lens you are looking at the world through. And before you go off thinking I am a Fox news watcher, I am not. I prefer to get my news from Fark.com and NPR
I actually have gotten back into catching The Daily Show more these days. I fell out when he had his nose shoved up Obamas ass during the election and first year in office. How many jokes about Palin being a women from Alaska can you still find funny? BUT, now that his hopes for real changes to the system have been shattered and he has moved back to hating all politicians he is funny again!
My real question, is that if you hate fox news so much why do you watch them every day? I know hitting my head against a wall will hurt so I try very hard not to do that everday.

I don't remember bringing up John Stewart, But Stewart is on Comedy Central, His job is to make fun of people. Bill-O's job seems to be to lie and create drama. Bill-O's bias hurts this country and makes already stupid ignorant people more stupid and ignorant. So again.....You lost me

Thats a good question and easily answered, The only way to have a rational conversation is to know the subject your talking about. If all i did was hate on Fox but never watched it that makes my arguement very weak and one sided. I watch to see what lies they are going to tell today, I watch to get both sides of an arguement on a topic, I watch becasue I want to know why so many people believe this nonsense likes it's true. I watch and wonder how people are dumb enough to only watch one side and expect things to change in this country. I know there are Republicans on this site....I wish they were brave enough to defend their right wing point of view.....But the right wing hates everything but money so its hard to defend....I understand

Maybe I've become a pessimistic, bitter old man. But I've pretty much come to the conclusion that when I'm watching national news on TV, they are either lying to me, trying to influence me towards beliefs that will benefit their corporate benefactors... Or both.
As far as getting anything resembling the truth from TV news on any channel, I think those days are long gone.

Thats not conversation and it surely is not rational. It is pure venom. You are suffering from an excessive amount of hate man, and i think we all know what Yoda has to say about hate. I really think you might want to roll back some of your FOX time and maybe put on some relaxing music or watch some MSNBC. Have you had a vacation lately? Your stuff on History is interesting, maybe turn off the TV and work on that a bit?
