Meh they couldn't actually prove anything. And I doubt anyone from Jordan Brand or Nike would tattle on MJ

Though this article doesn't mention Jordan directly, I have no doubts the NBA had Jordan in mind when they wrote it. I mentioned earlier that I thought the clandestine nature of talks was due to the potential for tampering penalties, and I think this note is representative of the fact.
I'm still wondering if BCP "insiders" posting things is a good idea.
SOMEONE will pay for THIS!

These days, everything can become public. I love hearing information though, so think I'm not appreciative.
Also, don't you think it's interesting that they sent out a memo about this? I don't think they'd waste their time unless they had some idea it was going on. However, I'm certain that Stern doesn't want to slap a Mchale penalty on the NBA's golden boy, Michael Jordan. Just sayin'.

It says suspension of any player. I think it was a Lebron reference.
I think it's more to do with Paul/Melo then Lebron and more the Knicks than anyone else (including the bobcats). Though Jordan is in a unique position with Jordan Brand and the individual contracts he has with NBA players.
The Knicks let it be known that everyone on their roster except Amare was available to be trade to get Paul or Melo. They can sugar coat it however they want, but that is tampering if it came from a FO source.
The biggest 'leak' from the bobcats is from a lower level Bobcats employee that him/herself was probably speculating or overheard. I know in this day and age more calls are made without the benefit of a secretary, but Rod and MJ don't draft the press release, call the media, etc. Besides, I almost think the more in a tight circle that know, the better. I would imagine most all of the coaching and scouting staff would be able to add valuable information about particular players. For example...if you follow twitter, and you are buddies with Mike Irr the Bobcats conditioning coach, has your opinion of Derrick Brown changed at all this summer? I'm sure Irr's colleagues around the league may call and touch base similar to when LB calls to talk to Popovich.
The bobcats just need to be squeaky clean in going after CP3 and Melo (if they are interested) with the Jordan Brand contracts in place.
