I looked at the bench and threw up
As the thread title says, their is no foundation to this. I have no sources other than my imagination. Once again this is my source:
Do not fool yourself into thinking this is being discussed because it probably isnt. But it could be, and maybe it will be. I am just really bored so i decided to make this thread.
Before this ventures into the tl;dr category here is the trade.2 parts. I wouldnt do the first one as a stand alone trade but would do it if it means part 2 gets done:

2. Denver in: Dampier
Denver out: Billups
Overall breakdown:
Denver in: Dampier (dust), DJ Augustin, Nazr Mohammed, Gerald Henderson
Charlotte in: Chauncey Billups, Nene
Why it works for Denver: They are about to enter rebuilding mode. Melo is leaving once the year ends. Their front office's contracts are all expiring or have expired and have not been renewed. George Karl is probably done after this season. A new report came out that they are shopping JR Smith. The team's success has peaked and it's time to try again. This trade rids them of Nene's contract (which is only 2 years but is 11 million per year) and gets value out of Billups before he expires. They get expiring contracts and young players in return. For them their is nothing better they could expect to get then the package Charlotte would be giving them in this trade.
Why it works for Charlotte: Our two main issues would be addressed. Both players are upgrades over anything we have ever had. Billups is better now than DJ will likely ever be when LB is coaching him. Nene is the prototypical LB center. A banger, a tough guy, and a over all hard worker. The only thing that scares me a little is his health, but we have never had a true center that was healthy so this is nothing new. Trading Nazr would give us a role for Diaw that he could still be productive in (#2 reserve PF and #2 reserve center) and we get value out of the 'potential' of DJ and Henderson when their is still a market for it.
Our lineup
C- Nene
PF-Tyrus
SF-Crash
SG- Jackson
PG- Billups
bench- Diaw, UPS, Livingston, Collins, Carrol, Najarea, Diop, and Dominic McGuire. We could sign a couple of minimum players to fill the holes. I would want Flip and Josh Boone in an ideal world. If Iverson would come off the bench i would take him in a minute.
If you made it this far i would like your thoughts on this madness.

I like this alot, of course were gonna need some more bench players but I like the trade alot .

Don't know about Henderson but DJ and Nazr are our main contributers from the bench. I don't want Carroll, Diop or Najera getting more than 2 minutes. Are Henderson and Nazr really making our bench THAT much better though?
As for the trade, there is no reason for Denver to trade Nene and I can't see them trading Billups either. His contracts expires next year anyway and there is no reason to trade him right now for our trash, called the "DUST".
DJ is our starter this year though, and Nazr is 1 year older. It is time to move on from Nazr, i love the guy (and was vouching for him when many people on here were hating) but he is really a 2nd string center on a bad team/3rd string on a championship level team. I dont want to send Nazr to Denver purgatory for a year but he will expire and can go to a championship team after the season ends. Miami is probably already waiting to call him.
Diop was a mistake to get, but he can still defend. LB is working him hard, i want to see 10 minutes a game for him. Najera doesnt flat out suck, and he has a good work ethic. Same thing with Carrol. We need to give Carrol minutes if we want the production we are paying for and Henderson deserves minutes too. 1 has to go, and nobody besides us wants Carrol.
I actually like this trade and i suppose it does make sense. Just not sure if Denver would do it.

Go easy on me, I'm from England, and no... I Don't love the Queen.
If we could do this, I would. Don't know how the Denver fanbase would respond to that....I guess this helps them prepare for Melo's departure.

Nazr doesn't contribute from the bench because he is our starting Center and has been since Tyson went down around Christmas, Nazr got hurt in February and never really was the same.

In the 2 weeks before he had the injury he had his best two performances of the year.
21 points and 20 rebounds in a 1 point victory over Minnesota
23 points and 17 rebounds in a 2 point loss to the Lakers
Does that mean Nazr is going to play 35 minutes in 82 games...no way, but he has at least deserved the opportunity to be our starting Center in training camp if nothing changes (and Damp is not in consideration, Damp is an pre-season expiring $13M prize).
