    Thankfully no. I live in Perth, which is on the other side of Sydney (go google map it), it's the most isolated city in the world.
    My missus is also extremely afraid of spiders, so I have to kill them for her =P.
    Just because we don't see that spider, doesn't mean we can't be screwed over here as well.

    Link to some of our more deadlier spiders.
    Generally if the spider's poisonous, you'll be sick for a few days.
    I have however seen a massive huntsman. Although not dangerous, the thing was frickin massive. By massive I mean at least 40 mm big.

    Cat, if you stick to the cities the worst you'll see is probably a few small spiders and daddy long legs. Nothing really anymore extreme than that. Sightings of those badass mothers I posted up are extremely rare to find.
