Default Let's have YOUR Bobcats season preview

After reading Matt Moore's excellent Bobcats preview on cbssports.com I thought why not get some season previews from the BCP crowd.

So, If you post your season previews here in the forum, then I will post some of the really good and/or really funny ones up on the front page.

And I'll give bonus consideration for any review that uses the words "Boris Diaw" and "Vajazzling" in the same sentence

    Let's hear what you've got!

    Most likely starting lineup:

    PG: Saint Augustin
    SG: Captain Jack
    SF: Crash
PF: Boris 'King of the Love Fat' Diaw
    C: Nazr Mohammed

Key additions: Dominic Mcguire (Once we figure out who the hell he is )

Player/s to Watch: Tyrus Thomas and DJ Augustin: Both can be primed to have a break out season, with TT getting more minutes due to Diaw's vajazzling love fats, and DJ most likely being the starter at this point. Both will have plenty of opportunity to show what they're made of, and plenty of opportunity to fail and get lots of e-hate from the Bobcats community. Look to TT to average a solid 15/8 and DJ to be a 16/7 guy.

Biggest strength: Boris Diaw's love fat, not only is it bouncy and squishy, it can also be sold to the highest bidder to be made into mattresses to help pay for the salary of the team. Diaw is much like the second coming of Sean May, except without screwed up feet.

Season preview: Bobcats will start well, drift off into no man's land and then have to bail off the sinking ship because Diaw is too fat and sinks the boat. After LB carries them all singlehandedly across the Atlantic ocean and back with one arm, he will then build a new boat made entirely of turtle shells, a porpoise and the hairs on his back to continue their journey. The turtles unfortunately will be eaten...

Crash will continue to improve and have another stellar year, perhaps a 20/10 from him. Cpt Jack will look to also improve his scoring, while reduce turnovers. Nazzy will provide a low post option albiet limited. TT will block everything and dunk on everyone, while DJ will hit key 3 pointers and strut about when he has a good assist.

82 games, 42:40 - Assuming Diaw doesn't eat the team, and that DJ/Livingston and TT have good years

    Best case Scenario: 45:35
    Worst case: Diaw eats everyone

Key to this season: The bench was weak last year, which caused Crash and Cpt. Jack a lot of time on the court. Look to Hendo and UPS to really fight for playing time, both have shown tremendous improvement in the summer league and will look to be energy guys off the bench.

    Hello Bobcats fans!

The 2010-11 addition of Your Charlotte Bobcats is ready to break training camp in Wilmington, NC after a one year Bob "I've lost almost as much money with the Bobcats as I did getting divorced" Johnson imposed absence. Larry Brown is back with more experience with different teams (9), than he has with decades of living (7).

The Bobcats biggest question marks on the surface appear to be, who gets the starting node at PG? DJ Augustin or Shaun Livingston? Will Boris Diaw be traded before Christmas or will the Bobcats wait until the trade deadline? With the thrifty Michael Jordan very aware of the financial impact, he doesn't want to pay for starter salaries for bench players. How quickly Tyrus Thomas gets comfortable playing 35+ minutes per game will influence when Diaw is moved.

The Bobcats will also be blessed with a second consecutive year with an all-star with Gerald Wallace attending the mid season celebration of LA11. A late injury absence to D Wade will also open a spot for Stephen Jackson, the Cat's leading scorer at 22/ppg. Matt Carroll will join GW and Capt Jack in LA for the 3pt contest after draining an unbelievable 55% of his 3-pointers during the first half of the season.

DJ Augustin's improved defensive efforts coupled with his 40% 3pt results will make him the clear winner in the PG spot. The brightest addition to the Bobcats is none other than the former NBA top selection, Kwame Brown. Brown will step in when Nazr Mohammed's back causes him fits and finally give a big body answer to the Magic's Dwight Howard.

The Bobcats have always played most top tier teams very competitively, none more so than the LA "the bobcats are my daddy" Lakers. This year will be no different with the Bobcats splitting the season series with Miami, Chicago, Milwaukee, Orlando and Denver and a sweep of the Lakers, Thunder and Celtics.

The Bobcats will be the 7th seed in a greatly improved Eastern Conference Playoff bracket and a regular season record of 47-35

    Key Dates:

Feb 5, 2011-Bobcats get first career win over the Dallas Mavericks
Apr 1, 2011-Bobcats clinch a playoff spot with victory over the Orlando Magic.
Apr 10, 2011-The Bobcats extend a 120 person suite to the BobcatsPlanet members, Including flying in any fan that lives out side the 75 mile TV zone.
May 2, 2011-The 7th seeded Bobcats beat the Chicago Bulls in a triple-overtime nail biter in game 6 of the first round of the playoffs.

Without any major changes with players I still expect 41-45 wins...Key players form me...Shaun and DJ or who can be an NBA starting PG...can Nazzy play close to 82 and not get injured...will LB actually use our young talent (Hendo and UPS) to cut down minutes for Crash and Jack?

I know we seemed to have regressed some what talent-wise but over-all I think we have a better team than last year...Tyrus is a major key if he can push Doris for the starting spot...but if Doris is pulled from the starting line-up we'll have to deal with him mopping the remainder of the season...

I think LB probably has his toughest job since taking the team...by that I mean (IMO) we have our most talented team but with some real question marks at PG and C depth...can LB keep his focus and the team focused after wanting to leave? This is the biggest question for me and really outweighs any questions I have regarding the PG and C positions...
A tribute to "Crash"...We'll miss you Dude...

Right on, because this has great potential to fuck up the whole team chemistry when he starts to bitch and moan if/when we start off slow. Crash 'n Jack's leadership must shine through this season to keep the guys together, cause I really think there's going to be some kind of fallout over MJ keeping Larry against his wishes, especially without an appreciably better team, if not worse, compared to last year.

Being the pessimist, I see a major-to-semimajor injury to Crash or Jack, Larry possibly walking mid-season a la San Antonio in '92, but this brings the team together, we find a diamond in the rough with one of our reclamation projects, and either UPS or Henderson has a breakthrough soph campaign (post-Larry, of course).
