I think that Ammofan's line-up could challenge for 4th or something. Etiher way, there's no way the team gets the talent this offseason to be the top team in the east, so I'd take top 5 or 6.
Orlando, Chicago, Miami, and Boston are all top tier teams. Those teams are the top four seeds. Atlanta and Milwakuee will be playoff teams (and Milwaukee got even better in the off season). Then you're going to have teams like New York and New Jersey fighting for playoff spots. The Wizards are not bad either.

Yes, Toronto got worse, but that is irrelevant. Toronto wasn't a playoff team last year even when they had Bosh.

I don't think the deal is dead, the Nuggets are just spinning shit to make people think they hold all of the cards, when in all actuality they either make this trade or lose Anthony at the end of the season.

I think it will be done and we will land harris.
I do get the same feeling. I don't think Denver wants any part of starting the training camp with Carmelo, nor Carmelo with the Nuggets. As the day has gone on, what I have seen seems to say the 4-team trade is all in place and just awaits Denver to sign off on it. Denver, and understandably (but also aggrivatingly) so, is seeing if they can up the ante. However, this would appear to be their best bet and they are highly motivated to get this thing done.

Ah! I forgot about the Bucks. I agree, they'll be very tough this year. I know that ATL and Boston will still be good this season, but I'm not really sold on either of them, and if the 'Cats were to upgrade the 1 and 5 spots with some kind of NJ/Den trade, then I really think that they'd be able to compete with them. So, I guess what I'm saying is that I don't disagree with you that much, but I wouldn't say that that line-up couldn't challenge for 4th.

How can you not be sold on Boston? They went to the Finals last year and got better in the offseason. They signed Shaq, Jermaine O'Neal, Delonte West, and Von Wafer. They've got one of the deepest teams in the league.

The Denver front office is clearly the DUMBEST in the league if they refuse to take a player unless they've seen him play in an NBA game.

If they don't see that Favors could potentially be better than any of these other guys they want, then they are blind.

If they get Andre Iguodala "straight up", what are they going to do with JR Smith and Affalo? 3 similar players.

I'm close to wishing something bad on their idiotic GM. No one can be this stupid.

Eventually, age will catch up with them.

Really? Harris is better than Felton. The team would be better than they were last year just by getting Harris and dumping Diaw. Of course they are a playoff team with JUST Harris.

If they get Anderson or Nene, they're definitely better than a 1st round exit.

    My thoughts exactly about Boston.

They may as well bring back Vin Baker.

The Bobcats are a paper thin team. Perhaps one of the most shallow teams in the entire NBA. One major injury would make them miss the playoffs. Could you imagine if Jax or Wallace missed 20 or 30 games? Goodbye playoffs. Could you imagine if one of those two were lost for the year? No chance in hell they'd make the playoffs. Speaking of injuries, Devin Harris is very, very injury prone. At least Felton was healthy, for the most part. So if Harris goes down like he has throughout his career would you feel comfortable with DJ running things? Seriously? There is very stiff competition in the East this year. People are writing off a lot of teams.

Every year people say the same old shit about Boston and every year they've been wrong. Age isn't a factor when you've got players that know their role and execute game in and game out. Their off season acquisitions will keep their starters fresh. Either O'neal can step right in and start.
