Which is exactly why I hope we spend our remaining 2.2 mil on Flip. There's a big drop off from Jax to Hendo. Flip is the type of instant offense double figure scorer we need to get Jax and GW off the floor. He can spell Jax at the 2 and allow Jax to slide to the 3 while GW rests. If we can reel in Harris and sign Flip, we'd be competitive with any team in the league. Those moves would put us ahead of Milwaukee and probably on par with Atl and the new look Bulls. We likely wouldn't finish any lower than 6th and could go as high as 4th, especially if we can somehow manage to hang on to DJ in the process of getting Harris. DJ/Liv, Flip, UPS and Kwame would provide solid support for a starting core that would include an all-star, a guy one year removed from being an all-star and a near all-star.
Obviously our success would depend on several factors, such as whether Harris gets back to (or near) all-star form, how quickly Jax's game deteriorates, whether DJ can be the spark plug he was as a rookie, whether Nazr stays healthly and whether TT finally plays to his potential. But in any event, that's a significantly better team than the one that won 44 games last year.

It sounds to me like Denver is getting greedySo on the second front, the Nuggets are trying to determine whether another player within the current framework of the deal or even a fifth team would be able to further sweeten the reward for parting with the organization’s best player in two decades. The Nets are said to have “exhausted” the options available to the Nuggets in the current structure of the trade, with one possibility having Harris going to Denver instead of Charlotte. What Nuggets officials are weighing there, according to an executive with knowledge of the talks, is whether Harris might have more value as a trade chip than Kirilenko – an indication that Denver would view itself as being in full-blown cost-cutting and rebuilding mode without Anthony in the fold. Kirilenko, with a $17.8 million expiring contract, would seem to have more value than Harris, who is owed $27 million over the next three years. The Nuggets have not asked the Bobcats for Gerald Wallace, according to one executive familiar with the negotiations.
