Very cool move by the team to celebrate with Ginger Ale so Josh Hamilton could join in with them. You have to appreciate the team unity.

In a way, I don't like it. If you have made yourself so you can't even be in the room with booze, that's on you. However, if he as one of the faces of the franchise has to leave the room, you switch it to ginger ale, sure. Dude has come from the depths for sure, but to project your own issues on the entire clubhouse? I dont know. Have teams always celebrated like 20 times with champagne? Or are we just now seeing it every time they do it? You get 1) when you make the playoffs 2) if you win the division 3) if you win the div series 4) if you win your pennant 5) if you win the world series? Am I right on this?

When they won the Division, they celebrated with champaign and he stayed away as did another of their players. Just his own way of dealing with his demons. When they were facing Game 5 the other night, it was the rest of the team that decided that if they won, they would celebrate with Ginger Ale. Josh Hamilton was not even aware of this until after the game and the celebration began. That is what is so great about it. This was the team forgoing the champaign celebration to make one of their leaders know that his celebrating with them was far more important than popping champaign.

Cool, but if he hadnt had the problem.....I realize I'm a little cold but I have little sympathy for adicts. Great for him though, good for him and his family. I know he's from somewhere up here in the Raleigh area right? Anyway, cool thing to do for unity and that's what you need to win, maybe it gives them the edge? Pitching is ridiculous in this post-season.
