...meaning Jax, Crash, etc. are helping him deal with LB?

If they weren't of the mindset to help DJ I don't think there was any way he could succeed.

As I posted in the Detroit game thread, Jack seems to be personally taking it upon himself to watch out for DJ--especially in regards to LB. Both times DJ got pulled out after a mistake, Jack came from the end of the bench and stood in front of LB to high five DJ and walked with him all the way down the bench. All after the LB "whuuuuuut" face/shake.

That quote was definitely an understatement

The one thing you can not qualify on a box score is chemistry. And I really feel like Dj, crash, and Jack are developing that.

Wallace Sees Bobcats Making Necessary Adjustments

D.J. is learning the role of the starting point guard, and as we’ve seen him get more comfortable with the offense, the more comfortable the offense has seemed to run. That only comes with time, and in the past four or five weeks he’s got more comfortable and the offense is starting to click a lot better now. He knows that, “I’m the starter. This is my team and I’m going to go out and get everybody in position. Through the good times and the bad times, I’m still going to be out here as the head of this team on the court.” Once you get that understanding that even if you mess up you’re not going to get pulled out, you have to realize you need to keep your head up and help the team fight through it. He’s starting to realize that and his confidence is getting better because of it.

That’s great to see because we need to have someone else step up with Raymond gone. I know I’ve had to take on a bigger role here already. You have to be more verbal and be more into things now from day-by-day. Our team is young and we lost a lot of guys, so we have a lot of new pieces and guys that we’re trying to get accustomed to Larry Brown’s style of play. It takes being there on the court and on the sidelines to kind of help these guys through because Larry Brown isn’t the type of coach who lays back. He’s always pressing and some guys get down because of it, but we have to keep their confidence up. We’ll find out where we are here when preseason ends and we get ready to go to Dallas.
Heck, maybe it's MJ's strategy to have the PG backups so bad LB can't pull him if he does bad. If it is he's going to have to trade Boris.

I'm all for anything that gets rid of Diaw. I don't think this team can handle another year of his half ass play.

As a full paying member of the "Start DJ" fan club it's great to see all my "Start DJ" pillows and cell phone covers won't go to waste
As long as NC has a team, I'm going to cheer for it

Our front office has done that before @ the PG position. When they cut our starting PG Jeff M because Ham Biscuit wouldn't stop playing him.

I think it had more to do with a certain player locking a certain (idiot) coach out of the locker room during halftime...but I could be wrong.

I do think they let Knight go to open the door for Felton.

I was pretty good friends with a high level Bobcats employee then (no longer there anymore)...and it was all about Sam I am not listening to Rod/MJ about reducing Jeff's minutes for the benefit of figuring out if Raymond was our PG or not....Sam didn't listen and the only way to make sure Sam didn't play Jeff was to boot Jeff out of the organization. They put a spin on it at the time that "it would allow Jeff to find a playoff team, clear waivers and fill in as a veteran". I think he's been playing at the Y ever since.

The Locker Room incident was a player unity thing (we actually won a few games in a row shortly thereafter..hurt our draft position actually).
