Well, we don't have any 1st round picks available to trade so I'm not sure what we could have done here. Besides, DJ looks fine. I'm pretty comfortable with him for now.

It just says a future first rounder though. I've been a DJ guy since he got here, but I'm saying for a backup b/c at this point, I don't trust Livingston to be healthy and we need the depth/ability.

I'm certain we can upgrade the backup spot somewhere. Can someone tell me why we gave Livingston a 2 year 7 mil contract? I don't see how he didn't get a minimum to near minimum deal.

I think the Front Office saw Livingston as the best PG option to sign during free agency, so they inked him to a 2-year deal.

I want to agree with this 100% but with all the shooters and ballers we have now maybe a facilitator won't hurt us so much....

I haven't seen tons of Bayless in the pros, but is he THAT much different from DJ? Sure, he drives more and has a little bit more scoring prowess, but I wouldn't set out to obtain him by himself--especially for a first-round pick. I just don't think it'd be a good move to trade away assets to get someone who would in many ways duplicate what we already have.

Portland obviously doesn't think that much of him...

We can't trade future Firsts since we don't know when the one we owe Chicago will be due.
