What are everyone's thoughts on the 1st game of the season? I think DJ went 2-10 from the field.

It's a Larry Brown team. This was to be expected. Livingston had Diaw syndrome: forcing passes.
And Jack and Crash both got banged up, so that's not good.
Our guards give up 24 assist and 36 points to Terry and Kid
We all know Jax can defend.DJ 2 for 10 with five assist playing starting mins , DJ better pick things up quick.
Again it might have been a first game jitters. But JAX seemed pissed at Brown and DJ. Jax got to set the pine most of the third and all the fourth ?? ANY ONE KNOW WHY??

his defense was bad, but no one played particularly well on defense.

My thoughts? Jason Kidd looked like he was in his 20's out there.
Dirk is a top ten NBA player and I would briefly consider placing him in the top five IF he played any semblance of defense. He's incredibly efficient and he's got a lot of talent surrounding him. 11 for 13 and 13 rebounds? Yikes. People that say Gasol is better are delusional (and probably Laker fans).
The Bobcats aren't going anywhere without a legitimate center and point guard. Larry Brown is going to start demanding trades before game 20 of this season. Brook Lopez sure would have been nice.

All I can say is thank god for Tyrus and Crash. The only two who looked alive out there. Although I must say, compared to last years opener were on track to win the east :P

I'd love to think that Charlotte briefly took the lead because of talent and hard work, but you'd have to be blind to deny that a lot of that had to do with Dallas resting on its laurels.
Tyrus is playing like a starter, getting paid like a starter, so start him dammit. At least give him starter minutes like 36+
