I say no to the Baron Davis Trade. I think we need to revisit the Devin Harris trade. I have a proposed three team trade with Sacramento and New Jersey that addresses the Bobcats needs at center and point guard. Getting Baron Davis doesn't make our team better. I checked this trade on NBA Trade Machine and it works (http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMa...radeId=28hcm6k).

And the clippers have been playing a bit better since getting Davis back in the lineup.....even won a few games.

Baron Davis(notes)? Jordan is considering a trade proposal that would send Augustin, DeSagana Diop(notes) and Matt Carroll(notes) to the Los Angeles Clippers for Davis, a league source told Yahoo! Sports.

The Clippers have desperately tried to trade Davis and have included him in proposals with center Chris Kaman(notes)

I have come off my throne now after pondering this for 35 minutes. In my wisdom, I have decided we should vacate this deal and simply sell off all valuable pieces for youth and draft picks. And then let BCP members take a vote at the Draft on each draft pick and the majority vote is our pick. Then this will truly be "our" team.

If Diop is a part of this deal, it would be hard to pass up.

yeah, really not a fan of one big thread. I can see combining threads about the same trade scenario, or having a thread just for ESPN trade machine BS "I think this would work" posts, but having to wade through pages to try to pick out info about different trades is aggravating. I appreciate the concept, but I don't think it works. My $.02.

I wouldn't do this deal unless the bobcats can benefit. What's the benefit? Getting rid of Diop and Carroll, allegedly.
Davis' contract isn't worth his production with the Clippers, however, perhaps a change of scenery is worth a shot. Why not do it? The alternative is to let Carroll and Diop rot on our bench and pay them roughly the equivalent of Davis.

Hopefully we can parlay this into getting Kaman as well. That would help.

If we could get Kaman too......then wow it would be an unbelieveable trade. How can all of you not want to give up DJ, Matt, Diop and possibly Diaw to get Baron and possibly Kaman?

I have split off the B-Diddy trade discussion into its own thread
I will do the same for NJ Nets/ Devin Harris discussion

All other talk will go into the new "Jumbo" thread and if there is trade discussion in the big thread that seems worthy then we'll split it off into its own thread.

So in short, if you don't see a "trade" topic for it, put it in the big thread.
