Default Jax and Crash being shopped

    http://www.charlotteobserver.com/201...charlotte.html

Interesting. Not sure if the Mods want to combine this to another thread. But this specifically says that we are shopping and asking a good bit back. But if both Jax and Crash are being shopped, it seems MJ may be considering the "Blow it up" option. Opens us a lot of doors and possibilities.

I take it more as a sign that Jax and GW cannot co-exist, and whichever one brings the best return will likely be moved. The article also mentioned that "various" on the roster were being shopped. Depending on what offers arise, now that the Free Agents signed this summer can be included, will influence if the roster is blown-up.

One thing I would bet money on, Jordan will not take on long-term bad contracts just to appease Larry.

I'm glad, they're both very good players but they aren't playing the same way they did last year. Hopefully interest in them is out there.

Jack was shopped over the summer, so that's hardly news.

Crash is, but I'd still be surprised if it happens based on, they're trading away the one guy they've marketed since last year for what?

And just to note, if Crash is traded, that means Nazr would be the only one who has been here since Larry was signed. Please raise your hand if you predicted that...

I guess you could technicaly say Matt Carrol too. But this comes as no surprise to me and I kinda expected it eventually.

All I know is that at this point in time the fact that MJ is open to trading our two biggest players is good news. If we can get anything of substance that is not long term and overpriced and has some talent I will be happy. The main thing is to acquire some draft picks and have us prepare for a three or four year plan to reach respectability. I hope the college talent pool does not dry up. As it stands we may be waiting till the 2012-2013 season to see our picks next year play for our team.

What really irks me about all this is that on the rare times our team actually shows up to play they beat good teams like the Denver Nuggets. I thought the Nuggets game was a sign of the team comming together but that was not the case. I never dreamed that trading Crash and/or Jax would be a good thing but at this time I can not think of anything better.

I never thought trading Crash or Jack would be welcome news, but it sounds like sweet music to me right now. It at least shows they're willing to do anything to change what they see. As long as they can get something in return that gives real, honest hope for the future, I'm down with it. Oh, and as long as whoever they get back will actually try, that'll be a big plus in my book, too.

now on espn that we are shopping wallace. i know things get out, but why make it official? it only makes the offers a little light. if they know we are willing to say "shop" we mean "moving". combined with our blowout losses and what larry is saying we aren't going to be getting grade A offers. if we move him, we better not mess it up. he is our only real trade piece. we need to start a rebuild with this trade. if we get back lower paid veterans back, we are so screwed.

i am worried that we are not going for youth with our "blow up" like being linked to Hamilton for example, i just hope we do go for youth and draft picks! If you had asked me in the summer would you consider trading jack and GW i would never agreed. I was even saying no to doing a straight up trade with melo for GW. Its interesting how things change, it seems everyone is now seeing it the same way tho.
