The Jordan Brand Classic, one of the country's top high school all-star basketball games, is moving from New York City to Charlotte.
The game will be played April 16 at Charlotte's Time Warner Cable Arena after five seasons in Madison Square Garden. The game was originally played in Washington, D.C., in 2002 and '03, then moved to College Park, Md., for one season before going to New York in 2005.
The Oklahoma City Thunder's Kevin Durant, one of the 2006 game's MVPs, was at Tuesday's news conference announcing the game's move to Charlotte. The Thunder plays the Charlotte Bobcats tonight.
Other MVPs have included LeBron James, Dwight Howard, Tyler Hansbrough, Amare Stoudemire and Sean May.
