    Default Lebron Supports Contraction

    http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/trueho...ory?id=5952952

    Adrian Wojnarowski article:
    http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news?slu...belebron122410

    Per ESPN article:

Hopefully the league can figure out one way where it can go back to the '80s where you had three or four All-Stars, three or four superstars, three or four Hall of Famers on the same team. The league was great. It wasn't as watered down as it is [now].
Wow. This guy really wants to alienate himself from the rest of the league. Comments like this are not going to sit well with fans and especially players. I'm disliking Lebron more and more every day.

I support LBJ keeping his stupid mouth shut.

Player's Union has to really love him saying that right before the upcoming CBA.

I have grown to respect whoever his handlers were in Cleveland for keeping him from saying this stupid stuff.

As I recall, the Heat were an expansion team...

The guy seems to only thinks of himself. While he's trying to get his net worth up to $1 billion he doesn't think of the other 98% of the league that actually has to worry about their job and money.

LeBron does not know what he is talking about. The game is different, rules change. We have a BIGGER pool of players now since the NBA is more international. Even back in the 80s we had teams with 0 hall of famers/all stars. Just because they had 2-4 teams stacked doesn't mean every team was like that. Contraction is stupid.

i agree with him and think contracting 2-4 teams would help the league. but, the expense comes to the players who lose their jobs and all the others outside of lebron and the top 8 in the league. players like joe johnson, amare etc would not be paid nearly as much. the union is probably pretty upset with him right now.

really he is trying to justify his big 3 move to get easy championships.

Exactly. He seems to also have the attitude that the best is all that matters, seeing as how that's been his world since he was a kid.

I wonder if he thinks the NBA would be best if he and his elite friends picked two teams and played each other 100 times a year?

Ok Bron so what you say and what you mean are 2 completely different things. Seriously, what a complete tool this guy is. He did the same thing about the racist comments and now he's trying to change or "modify' what he said before because it was taken the "wrong way".

Hey here's a comment Diva, the league could do without your stupid mouth and the words that come out of it like "I'm taking my talents to Miami" how about that...

It's fairly funny I think...I agree Miami doesn't have the "handlers" on him they they did in Cleveland. He makes stupid comments to the press frequently, doesn't have any filter for interviews etc...

Now to speak about contraction, I think it's actually the opposite, I think the NBA would do great with a few more teams. We have 30 now, the league could support 32-34 (keep it even east/west, or if you go 33, make east/west/central). Cities I'd investigate:

Seattle (like Charlotte, they would be happy to get a team back).
San Diego (no one who lives there want's to go to LA).
ABQ, NM (can't spell, no other professional sports, but lots of people).
I bet NJ wouldn't mind getting another team back at The Rock once the Nets go.
    Pittsburgh maybe?
Louisville KY was thinking about a team
last I think Kansas City was thinking about a team.

Don't forget many cities who have never had professional sports or haven't had for a long time would be biting at the bit. OKC got a taste, they sell out consistently, charlotte did in it's day (and will again, fickle people here are nutty).
What to do, what to do...
