Wowwwwwwwwwwwwww
http://www.iamagm.com/news/2010/12/3...otte.if.tradedCharlotte Bobcats owner Michael Jordan was interested in making an offer to acquire Carmelo Anthony from the Denver Nuggets until, sources said, the All-Star forward informed Jordan through a representative that he had no interest in playing for the struggling Bobcats or signing a contract extension with them.
I'm not surprised as their have been rumblings about Melo only wanting to be in NY (or NJ?). But I still held out hope that the Jordan brand connection would mean something.

And in the next sixth months team Jordan has one less player.
So we just get the reinforcement that Melo is a primadonna...next we will learn that Gana can't shoot free-throws and Jack likes to complain to the Refs.
I'm not sure how the coaching staff uses this type of information, or even MJ himself, but if I was Silas or MJ I would pound the ball at Melo the next time we meet them, no easy layups, use about 20 fouls on him, etc.
The irony of course is Jordan's company pays Melo approximately $6M/year to be on Jordan Brand...my guess is MJ makes more than that off of Melo, so Melo going to NY vs CLT may actually add more money in MJ's pocket.
I like that Rod & MJ are actually looking to make the team better, but probably happier that they aren't jumping at the first deal made, or counter-offer, protecting the value we have within the team. And Value can be a number of things (in order...value to our team on the floor, favorable contract/expiring/rookie/etc, cap space/flexibility and draft picks).
Yeah, I think maybe activate Eddie for the Nuggets game and let him get ejected, I'm sure Oak and MJ will be more than happy to reimburse his fine.
Well theres a suprize for the ages. Whats next? John Fox leaving the Panthers??

wow, shocking. Don't want him anyway, since Denver demands draft picks for the whole next decade

Trade for him anyway. Make him sit on the bench, and at the deadline trade him to the Raptors.

Meh....don't want him anyway. He's lying, what he was really afraid of was the thought of having to play defense if he came here.
Sooooooo what now......Chris Paul AGAIN... LMAO.
