Default Rank each player's value from 1-12

Make a list of 1 to 12, with one being the highest. Rank the players based on value to the team. Feel free to explain your decision process along the way. Keep in mind, you may value a player highly because of trade value if you like.

13-15 will be "Those not worth ranking." Sorry for the confusion.

Trade value and team value are different things in my book so I'd have separate lists. I'll look at the roster in a few and put my values up

I have to take what we pay them into consideration because a new bentley for $20k is more valuable than a new honda for $20k, which should push the players on their rookie contracts higher, given the same or similar production.

    1. DJ Paid $2.5M but one of our top 4 players in most games
    2. Diaw He is able to guard most people at 3 different positions, and has shown flexibility to adapt to most situations (this is also the reason the TTime probably hasn't seen more playing time, and Boris hasn't be traded~he's that valuable to us).
    3. GW Probably most valuable trading piece, also the 'face' of our team from the fans perspective
    4. Jackson-less trade value than DJ, Boris or GW
    5. Nazr-expiring contract is big plus, and he's our only big with back-to-the basket moves
    6. TTime-needs more minutes to justify the contract (or justify him being over paid)
    7. McGuire-Hustle galore at a low price, but needs some coaching to realize he's not a jump shooter
    8. UPS-He needs to show the ability to consistent make a 15 ft jumper ala Udonis Haslem
    9. Kwame-takes up an amazing amount of space, and cheap in relative terms, put a fish out of water in this offense
    10. Hendo-Huge upside because of rookie contract, but Jack has to be traded for a Big for it to be realized
    11. Livingston $3.5M paid and I'm just waiting for the knee to crumble (though I love the potential)
    12. Matt Carroll His production may increase if he continues to see minutes (in the new offense scoring helps)

13-15 Najera, Diop and Collins-production versus amount paid does not make sense (and the potential doesn't seem to change, even with Diop's blocks or rebounding ability).

I see your point, but I'm thinking more of an overall value, considering both. Feel free to do it however you like though!

this seems about right to me. i would switch livingston with kwame. if mcguire can make a 15 footer at 40% he would move up to nazr's level

I'm going to do this as if I was an opposing GM looking to trade for them. And I'm going in reverse order:

    13-15: Carroll, Diop, Sherron
    12: Najera
    11: Henderson
    10: Kwame
    9: McGuire
    8: UPS
    7: Liv
    6: Crash
    5: Diaw
    4: Jack
    3: Nazr
    2: Tyrus
    1: DJ

obviously based on my trade thread posts, i would move tyrus way back. i would move it to:
dj, naz, crash, jax, diaw, tyrus...
