    Default Interesting article on Boris

    http://www.charlotteobserver.com/201...n-habitat.html

I am sorry if this is a repost. I didn't see it anywhere. I thought this was a pretty neat interview. It is nice to hear about the players on a personal level, and Boris seems realyl down to earth. It would be cool to run into him at the Epicentre at some point.

Not sure it'd be cool to run into him, seeing as how Defeats with 270 pound guys on them probably don't feel good.

Seriously, though, it is nice to see that even the foreigners enjoy living here, since most athletes charlotte has had have been American citizens. Also, Mortimer's food is good and I do appreciate Diaw on and off the court.

I've seen him around epicentre several times (and UPS as well). He literally just walks around, grabs a coffee or whatever. I work right next to it so it's pretty common to see a lot of the guys run over there for lunch or coffee or whatever. Most of the guys on our team are pretty down to earth which is cool. I have seen Capt. Jack once. That man, he scary.

lol eating at epicentre and riding a segway around all year definitely answers the question of why he was so damn fat comin into the season. he's trimmed down some since then at least

The irony is Boris uses the Segway in Charlotte, and he's only in Charlotte during the season, so him being out of shape...has nothing to do with the Segway. He is a very likeable person, and has been a big part our startingn lineup since he arrived in Charlotte and remains one of our more valuable (doesn't miss time due to injury, has drawn interest in trades, etc) assets.

But maybe some would prefer he drove a sports car or had a towncar at his beck and call instead of being in the community.
