i actually find it kinda refreshing the attitude Diaw has, he doesnt turn up in a white suit (lebron getting drafted) or a awsome car. He isnt going to have a speech prepared for when he breaks a record. I think he sees life is bigger than basketball. GW and Jack are openley criticsing him about saying what he could be doing, they also say he will always do what he wants to do. Im not saying this is the best attitude for a successful team. But if i was a player i would like to be like him, content happy and not give a fuck! Like when he knew he played most consecutive game he said
"It doesn't mean you're doing well on the court," Diaw said. "It means you're on the court." That is seeing the bigger picture

I am pretty sure i would be like him if i were in the NBA with a balance of work and life but he really leaves a lot of talent wasted.

I at least wish he were in shape, sometimes i have fans of visiting teams sitting next to me and those who dont know who he is always ask why a fat guy is playing and those who are visiting or lived on the west coast are in awe of how much weight he has packed on

He looked especially plump wed vs the bulls, i think he is spending too much time at his restaurant in the Epicentre and needs to get his ass in the gym

I cannot stand Diaw. He's the new Jeff Mcinnis - the player that's on the court 30+ minutes and never contributes.

I think you guys are missing the boat on Diaw, outside of DJ and Kwame (and only Kwame recently), he is one of the best values on our team.

He defends and allows us to defend the pick and roll better than any other big man we have (outside of Tyrus). He is available to play all the time (not the case with most of the rest of our roster due to injury, technicals, ejections), he's an unselfish player on a team that has some big egos (Jack & GW demand the ball, Tyrus never passes the ball and DJ struggled with balancing keeping everyone happy, if Diaw was another ME first player DJ very well would've been traded early in the season). As far as his weight, did you think that is by design based off the fact that coaching and circumstances often have him guarding the other teams Center?

MJ and Rod see his value, which is one of the reasons he is still on our roster. Do I wish he showed more drive? sure But I'm also reluctant to let him go without value in return. Besides, if he's as bad a McInnis...why did his two most recent Bobcat coaches play him 30+ minutes per night?
