I've had my fill of former Dallas assistant coaches.
Darrell Armstrong would be a great candidate to be the next coach of the Bobcats. He's currently an assistant coach with the Dallas Mavericks. He's a former NBA point guard, most notably with the Magic. He brings high energy, passion and high basketball IQ to any team he's involved with. Also, he's from Gastonia. He went to Ashbrook High and Fayetteville State University.
What do you guys think?

IDK....I would like Van gundy but I doubt ESPN lets him go.

MJ will never, ever hire Van Gundy.
This guy might be worth taking on chance on... Michael Cooper became an assistant coach of the WNBA's Los Angeles Sparks in 1999, and helped the team reach the playoffs for the first time in franchise history, with a record of 20-12.
He was named the Sparks' head coach in November 1999, and the Sparks' record quickly improved, as they finished 28-4 in their 2000 campaign. Cooper was named the WNBA Coach of the Year for his efforts. The Sparks followed with consecutive WNBA Championships in 2001 and 2002, but were denied a third straight WNBA title by losing to the Detroit Shock in 2003.
After the Sacramento Monarchs ended the Sparks' run in the first round of the 2004 WNBA Playoffs, Cooper took a job as an assistant coach under Jeff Bzdelik with the Denver Nuggets. After 24 games, Bzedlik was fired, and Cooper was named the Nuggets' interim head coach.[8] He remained interim head coach until George Karl was brought in to coach the team about a month later and served as a scout for the Nuggets the remainder of the season.
Cooper was the head coach for The Albuquerque Thunderbirds for two years (2006–2007). In 2007, Cooper left the Thunderbirds after coaching them to the National Basketball Association Development League Championship in 2006. Cooper has since returned to coaching in the WNBA as the head coach of the Los Angeles Sparks.
In May 2009, Cooper was named the head coach for the University of Southern California's Women of Troy Basketball Team.[1]
This guy is for sure worth looking at and I can guarantee that our Bobcats would be a lot tougher...In the middle of the 2002 WNBA season, Bill Laimbeer took over the head coaching position for the Detroit Shock. A year later, he led the franchise to its first WNBA championship and was named Coach of the Year that year. It marked the first time in WNBA history that a team other than Los Angeles or Houston won the title. On September 9, 2006 Laimbeer led the Shock to their second WNBA championship against the Sacramento Monarchs in five games. Two years later, on October 5, 2008, Laimbeer led the team to its third league championship in six years by defeating San Antonio.

I realize these men had success coaching women but they were quite good contributing members of their championship teams and to me if a man can get women to perform at a high level he can get men to do the same.
I believe Darrell Armstrong will make a good NFL coach. He is a players coach, and would likely focus on defense. My only concern would be that he would be so hyper he'd hop on the court mid-game to try and steal the ball.
How do you think he would do in the NHL?
I don't think he could skate to well, so probaly not well...
Haha, sorry, I was focusing on the playoffs when posting that.
