I wonder how much of Wallaces decline in performance is related to the trade rumors. As the rumors have intensified his play has gotten worse. Watching the games, he appears to be a guy just going through the motions. Earlier in the season he looked much better than he does now. Maybe it's just injuries or maybe it's something else. I appreciate all he has done for the team and was one of the people who would have wanted a ransom to trade him away but at this point I would consider giving him away for nothing more than a salary dump. Maybe he has said that he is just going to stand around and shoot jumpers if we are going to trade him anyway. Why bother taking it to the rim or playing tough D if it is only going to hasten his getting traded? Anyone think he may be sandbagging a bit?

I feel confident that by trading Wallace AND Jack we can get enough value in return to still make the Playoffs. The bottom of the East isnt good.....at all.

And really, why couldnt we make the Playoffs without G+J? They dont do anything anyways other than hurt the team. If we had 2 guys who knocked down shots in their place last night we wouldve won. Jack shot terribly and Gerald shot and played terrible overall. Give me freakin Ronnie Brewer and he could do more than Jack+Gerald.

Is this another Kobe vs Shaq thing but instead between GW and Jax? My loyalty is with GW if thats what we are talking about here... If folks will be patient GW will heal and be back to full par again... I think Jax and GW just need more time together in this new system and new coaches ect....

Good lord! it seems like the planet is a bunch of "what have you done lately, flavor of the month" out of control hyperbolic end of the worlders. crash's play has been down but he is still the best sf on the team and easily a top 10 sf in the league. his play has been down (in my opinion) for several reasons
    1. injuries: he hasn't been healthy all year. last year he avoided a great deal of the knick knack injuries he has sustained this year
    2. other teams: after last year they have specifically put him on the scouting report. he gets doubled when on the block and teams help the shit out of his defender baseline when he has the ball on the wing. it is not his fault we have no outside shooters.
    3. jax: they don't and have never played well together when on the floor at the same time. neither are number 1 options both are best as number 3 options. they are forced to take touches from each other and jax is winning that battle.
    4. LB: he killed crash's season early with all of the forced jump shots and no running
    5. trade rumors: i think he is done with the team and wants to be finally traded. hopefully, we do him right and find a good team to deal him too and not cle or sac
    6. more active big guys: last year he was the only one rebounding and other teams took 3/4 of the year to figure out he wanted every board. this year not only are they scouting him better but between tyrus and now kwame he is down about 3 rebs per game.
age/mileage: it is yet to be determined (i suspect if he ended up on golden state, clippers, portland or a contender his performance would return)

Not only does 79 year old Grant Hill hustle more than him now, I'm pretty sure I've seen him dunk more than Crash this year

Say what you want, but the old man is thoroughly outplaying him this year

Problem is that he was close to a Top 5 early last season. Now, he is just hanging onto the Top 10 but fading. Right now, SF's for whom I would trade Crash: Melo, Durant, Granger, Pierce, Beasley, Gallinari, Gay, LBJ, West. I would guess there may be a few more, but these are just off the cuff. If you get into big SG's who may be able to play SF some, I sure the list grows. But as his play deteriorates and other players start to improve, Crash is only going to move down the list rather than up the list.
