Didn't watch the game but the Ref's have robbed the Bobcats repeatedly.
Please don't let me be the only one and also what do you guys think?
How can you let such atrocious officiating slide by without consequences. Bobcats and Pacers are fighting for the 8th seed and when it comes down to the most crucial possession of the game you just let it slide and don't make the right call. Lets not forget the officiating of the entire game was terrible and what about the inadvertent whistle that led to 4 Pacer points. Go back and Watch tape of the Bobcats Celtics game on Monday and look at what they considered a foul on Paul Pierce at the end of the game. Then you have Blatant contact on Jackson tonight and they don't call anything. And you wonder why people think the NBA is rigged? Because night in and night out Refs make horrendous calls that change the out come of games. If you fine players for arguing with refs about calls and coaches who question officiating, then you should hold officials to the same standards. You have films of every game and can look and evaluate the integrity of the officials. You also have the ability in games to use instant replay. How about you actually put it to use. I will still support players and teams, but you lost a supporter of The NBA. Things like this that are overlooked in sports are just unacceptable.
Your not alone. I submitted a letter as well. Too bad no one really cares or reads them.
I haven't posted anything tonight and have been approaching the board with extreme caution, but my only questions are:
1) Why would the NBA be rigged for the Pacers to do well?
2) Why would the NBA be rigged for the Bobcats to suffer?
I'm not arguing against your claim that it is necessarily, but I'm just trying to figure out how this benefits the league (otherwise it would seem to be pointless for them). Also, I think the league has used instant replay wisely this year, and they have been consistent with their own standards. Here are the current replay modifications:
Note that they will look to see who should shoot foul shots, but they will not use it to actually call a foul.
because they hate Jack
They take it out on our team because of Jack's rep with the refs. It's not right. They're not supposed to bring any bias to the game themselves, yet they do, and this was the most blatant example of it.
BTW guys, what was the link you're sending thses emails to, I'd like to chime in.
http://www.nba.com/email_us/contact_us.html is what I used (using the dropdown selection of "Officiating in the NBA")
My sense is that if the league wants contraction, what better way than to alienate small market teams' fan base. If you impact the probability that they can win 50/50 games (look at Liv's foul, look at last night, there are many more examples but these are grossly apparent and this week) then how many will tune it out? Is this truly what I believe? I dunno - I don't own any tinfoil hats. But if refs clearly will not give calls to rookies over vets, why not extrapolate that from younger (much less influential) teams vs. more established teams with longer histories?Originally Posted by Deadshot
such bad officiating. seriously.. we can not get a break with these calls can we?
