Default Should the Bobcats: Buy, Sell or Stand Pat?

Curious how people feel about the Cats heading into the trade deadline.

I would put myself in the stand pat category with one exception (barring a tremendous offer for someone else of course). If I could get an asset that I knew would help this team for the next several years (AKA not a 2nd round pick), I would look to move Nazr because he's an expiring and several teams would or should like to add a big this year.

Unless we get a "can't refuse" offer I think we stand pat...and if info (like Boris being shopped for a year and no good offers) and (Crash and Jack taken off the market) it looks like we'll stand pat...

The "can't refuse" for me amp would be young talent and picks but the "market" is giving every indication that those are exactly what teams are refusing to trade...

Buy if the deal can get done within reason. But no fire sale as we are close to being a Playoff team. But standing pat seems self defeating. We can win the occasional game against a top team like Boston or LA, but not a series. If you are happy with an 8th place team who gets beat in the 1st round, then stand pat. See if a FA and draft pick can help us improve next year. But if you want to take a chance on doing better now, I dont see where we have much option but to try and make a deal to get someone here who can make us better. And if you take Crash and Jax out of the equation, that really only leaves you with DJ and Diaw as trading cards and maybe UPS. But with Diop out, we cannot use Nazr's expiring in any deals - we need him on the court.

ohara...yep...I just see it as difficult to do anything (trades) if the FO has removed Crash and Jack (assuming those reports are correct)...and if we went into "fire sale" mode we'd only get burned...

BUY: If we could add a Antawn Jamison or Troy Murphy and then a Hasheem Thabeet we would be really solid.

I get the feeling we are going to end up stand pat. I can think of several trades I would do but I don't know if the other teams would agree. It is hard to advise the FO without knowing their true options.

I will say I would be very comfortable with a trade that cleared a lot of our long term salary commits ( Jackson, Carroll, Diop). It seems like Hendo is ready to step up. I wouldn't mind giving up DJ. I don't want to give up Henderson, Thomas, Wallace or Liv. I would love to see us get Tyler H, S Nash, R Lopez. Luke warm on Mayo, T Will, or Tabeet.
