    I would take this trade:

Yoa, Budinger, Hill, First (they have 2) for Wallace, Diaw, UPS

We get a huge expiring plus everything else Yoa brings. We would have a whole country behind us even if Yoa doesn't play a single game. Jersey sales, everything would increase because of that simple fact of him just being on our team. Then when you get to the players. I think you might be able to get Twill out of them too, i'm not sure they value him much. But you get two young solid bench players, and you give Jack the chance to start the 3 (which the numbers show is when he is most effective) and Hendo starts at the 2. We would have 5 young players to build around with DJ, Hendo, Budinger, Hill, Thomas and we woudl have cap space with which to do it with and 2 first round draft picks. PLUS I really do think that a team of DJ/Hendo/Jack/Hill (until Tyrus back)/Kwame and a bench of Liv/(carroll/Twill)/Budinger/Najera/Nazr is still talented enough to compete for the playoffs. I like it. Defiantly not a give away in my eyes.

We give up wallace but get very good young talent and a huge expiring

That's the same trade I was thinking would be pretty decent. I think this would be a home run though:

Basically replaces Diaw leaving with Diop and Hammer. Ship out Diaw next year, when his contract will be worth twice as much.

A man can dream can't he?

Haha, and that's all a man can do. Dream.

If we trade Crash, we better get Roddy (Dallas) or Battier, TWill and Hill (Houston). Crash for Caron and Dominique Jones? FUCK NO.

I would also shop Wallace to the Clippers since they are shopping Minnys pick.

I don't understand the logic behind the preference to move Gerald now. Sure, he's had a rough start but he started coming around before the all-star break. I love Jack, but there's been several games I've hated his play... I just think Jack would be easier to replace becuase he's a volume shooter. Then again, they could be thinking if they move Gerald, they'll move Hendo to the 2 and Jack to the 3.

I'll be sad to see Gerald go.

From the rumors and personal hunch, there are indeed several teams that want Wallace or Jack or both. My guess is that we are being lowballed (See Chandler, Tyson trade) and MJ knows we are in the driver seat. Yes we do need to make a deal for the long-term and playoff run, but the team as constructed is still playoff capable. We hold the chips and need to play with that attitude and don't accept any shit deals just to make deals. What good is having a ton of $$ and financial cap relief, if no player wants to come here and play? I hope Higgins and MJ go in as the lead dog, rather than a follower that takes whatever.

James Johnson, who we were previously interested in, just got traded from the Bulls to the Raptors for a 2nd round pick. If we were moving Diaw, I would've loved to bring Johnson in as his replacement, especially for that price... Really cheap.

I think we make a deal. Silas says we aren't impressed by any offers.....but when it comes down to the deadline and GW or Jack is needed by someone, they will offer up what we want.
