BRNC, Dante played "forward" at Nova. He showed some good development in his time in school and became a nice go to post player when Scottie Reynolds was ineffective. I don't think he has the muscle to play Center, but he could spot some minutes there in the right lineup situations. For all intents and purposes though, Dante is a Power Forward.



As for these picks guys, realize that picks in the mid 20s rarely have value. That issue is magnified if both picks are in this coming draft, which is going to be historically weak and has the chance to be EVEN WORSE if players hold out due to the CBA problems.

More often than people think good players are to be found at 20 and beyond in the first round. As far as how weak this years draft will be, sometimes the so called experts such as yourselves here on BCP and the paid experts are wrong. I think there will be some value in the later part of the first round.

As far as the trade with Portland nobody has shown how the trade works financially. I still think there has to be a third player thrown in to the mix from Portland for the trade to work.

I am guessing many of you are dissapointed because players late in the first round won't be stars or superstars. I too don't like that but there is an off season and all of next season to wheel and deal for picks. Let us not get too down on this just yet. I think we will come out of this okay. It is the start of at least a retooling or partial rebuild if not all the way. With some added salary who is to say we can not sign a pretty good player in Free Agency? I am not overwhelmed with joy at our prospects in the immediate future but down the road I think we can get somewhere special.
