ESPN's Rose, Bouchard and Bucher all seem to think the Bobcats won on the deal. For once, we are not being hammered for a deal.

Well the OJ to Indy trade fell through so at least they didn't get better. As for us getting worse, too early to tell yet.

With the popularity of sports like MMA maybe you can. "Win as one" is dead. Enter "Jax's gonna knock you out".

not a glamorous deal and may be bad in the short term considering he is the crowd favorite and most casual fans who do not understand salary cap much less aware of cba will probably check out, but it does get rid of a lot owed money that could have easily ended up in a suit at the end of the bench with DNP-concussion. there should be more to come this summer and next year as we attempt to rebuild.

my only fear is that the "ultimate" plan is to free up cap space in a misguided attempt to get cp3 and/or howard here in FA.

And 2) We should've gotten much more back than what we did for Gerald in terms of players we can use now.
I think 80%+ of us wanted Jack (not Crash) gone but no one really wanted him...Mavs showed "casual" interest if we'd give him (for Butler contract) but that's about it...

We traded the only player that could give us any return...and only the future knows if we got "any return"...

I trust Paul to pull everyone together and get the best out of the guys we acquired. We did play our best ball under Silas when Jack was at the 3. My only worry is that all it takes is one off night from him. Who picks up the slack then?

As much as I can't stand Jack, I think that most of his issues came from playing out of position and having zero synergy with Crash on the court. Put him at SF, start Henderson and I think we'll see a lot more stability out of the offense... Tyrus is coming back soon too. Even though we won't have any real centers other than Kwame, we should have some bigs to throw around for once.

I don't understand why anyone (and I'm one of the biggest Crash lovers here) thinks this was a "bad deal"...it was not...it was a solid deal for both teams...we just have to make good use of what we got in return...and I think we can...
