Default Warriors offered Biedrins for Wallace

"NBA exec: Warriors asked about Wallace-for-Andris Biedrins, which Charlotte flatly rejected. GSWs couldn't come close to Portland's offer."

Glad we rejected that. I would've wanted Curry or Wright in any deal with GSW.

    Also:

Jordan didn't pull the trigger on that trade for one reason - Biedrins makes too much money.

It's obvious trading GW was to cut salary.

Now, I'm happy with what we got back. Let's hope we draft well!

What? MJ could've made a deal with the Clippers for Kaman.

And he wanted Lin.... SMFH, this guy.

THANK GOD this trade didn't happen.

I don't believe that BS. Lin as the piece to seal a deal MJ flatly rejected?! Com'on son! What was MJ thinking if it's true?

it's clear he wanted draft picks and/or rookie salary talent and expiring contracts

This was the key. It's the 'new' way that small/mid markets can compete. You have to draft well and reap the benefits for 4-5 years. And it wouldn't shock me at all if the new CBA has more restrictions on teams getting nothing when long standing free agent leaves them (draft picks most likely).

I think something like the NFL's franchise tag is on the way as well. Looking at Cleveland and Toronto...along with the competitive angle, I don't think that's something the NBA wants to put their paying customers (STH's) through. Competition issues will be a large, large part of these CBA talks, I believe.
