T-Will v Hendo

so obviously come draft day there was a large split among bobcats fans, i will admit i was on the T Will train and was gutted when the nets got him. However i was still happy with Hendo.

So what was everybody hoping for on draft day, and with what we know now, if T-Will was available in the draft along with hendo who would you take?

I wanted Williams, but I'm definitely happy with Henderson.

I wanted T Williams too; however, I don't think the Cats do the Capt Jack trade if he TWill was successful early....and think about all the good responses we would have missed from The Beagle if Capt Jack never made it onto our roster.

And I'm very Happy with Hendo (now and as of the last 2 months).

Im the same as everyone....I wanted T-Will but THANK GOD we didn't get him and we got Hendo instead!

Man I think this board was 75% pro Terrence Williams back during that draft.

I think my preference was T-Will, Henderson, DeJuan Blair in that order.

i wasn't as much t-will as anyone but hendo. someone should paste the draft day chat in here for posterity. it looks like i was wrong. looking back with 20/20 hindsight at the draft and our team's path i would have taken one of the three pg's who were taken after jrue, darren collison or ty lawson. probably is reverse order.

Was always a Hendo fanboy. Loved his professional attitude from the word go, plus was a highlight machine. Best thing is that he works hard to improve, working all through the off-season to improve his game and round it out. Plus he had a terrific defensive side to his game which I thought would fit in well with the Bobcats. Plus, he comes from good basketball stock.

I wasn't so high on T-Will. He was good, but I think he really had attitude problems and a lot of immaturity.

NOOOOO I would be tempted to take jrue ahead of TY and defo ahead of DC!

For me, that draft was all about somehow trading up and drafting Curry but that wasn't all that realistic.

Beyond that, I liked Hendo over T-Will even though I am sure we would have drafted Williams had he been there. I watched Henderson closely at Duke so I knew he had NBA athleticism and that was very important to me.

I also really liked Jrue Holliday and Ty Lawson. If I were making the pick, based on the way it actually worked out, I would have gone either Hendo or Holliday.

All in all, I am very happy with the Hendo draft pick and even in hindsight it is hard to argue with...

I remember the split more like 90%-10% for TWill, including me, just shows how little we know (and the Nets) about how a player will function (maturity) in the NBA...
