Sure, I'd do it for the right player.
Is DJ worth a first round pick? In this draft class i think he might net us a first round pick . Clearly hes not a starting point long term. With Walker and Knight with in reach DJ should be expendable.
THOUGHTS
Thanks Ammofan!

Maybe. We'll already have two draft picks. It we didn't acquire a top 10 pick, I'd say no.
SOMEONE will pay for THIS!
I'd just as soon keep him as a back-up and bring in another PG to push him...Liv (as the primary back-up PG) would give me a great deal of pause...but if we can bring in; Irving, Knight, or N. Smith I'd keep DJ for another year and then package him...
...or...if he could be packaged this year to get Irving I'd do it...
A tribute to "Crash"...We'll miss you Dude...
If we could packege DJ and our 10th pick to net a Williams, Irving, or Barnes . Me i would do it in a second.
Thanks Ammofan!
DJ not a starting PG? Name me 30 better. He's #22 of point guards on Hollinger's PER, he's 13th (without taking out people who don't really count) in assist/turnover ratio. How is he just garbage we should trade for a first rounder? What team wants to give up a draft pick for someone you think is so bad anyway? How is this an argument? I'm not mad at ya Dav, I just don't understand the premise.
Lmao...15&6 with no star. Hell he was killing it in college just lilke the guys ya'll mention but the NBA is the great equalizer(See:Evan Turner) especially for a point guard playing with four back ups. DJ has great value around the league and even if he doesn't start he will never see under 30 minutes a game until 28 plus years of age. No pick and roll big man , No pick and roll defender, Hendo just started konocking down shots off the curl, nodody runs but DJ. Give me a d@mn break ya'll act like charlotte has some legit pieces in place. He will hopefully leave and you guys will whine about why he didn't do what he is doing with his new team while he was here like everybody else who left.

I have to agree with you about us not having any stars on the team. DJ IS worth a first round pick. We don't have any star players on the team that can expand DJ's level. He's a great player I just don't know why people are so fond of trading him here since he's been playing with injuries back to back busting his ass. Anytime he plays a bad game they're always someone saying we should trade him while when he plays a good game everyone praises him. Again until we have the right players for this team I really think DJ will probably be in the top 10 best PG in the NBA in the future.
Me and Spectre had a talk about this on the game chat, just concerned with DJ's poor performances lately and i said i was down with DJ & 10th for a 4th.
However, i wasn't aware he was playing with a bung knee and ankle, so i'll have to take a pass on trading DJ at this point.
I'd rather trade our 10th and Hornets pick with X player to move up and draft Williams or Kanter. I'm stuck on the 2, but if i was to have my way i would draft Derrick Williams, suck next year and draft Andre Drummond in the 2012 draft class.
Our starting lineup for 2012-13 season would look like this:
DJ
Henderson
Derrick Williams
Tyrus
Drummond

I think Hendo is the next MJ. Clearly already a better player than MJ was at this point in his career. Maybe better than SJack. We'll have to see but, this guy looks like 2nd GOAT (behind Allen Iverson) material to me
i'm a big DJ fan & apologist, but lets cut the chatter about shitting on his team mates, CP3 has just as bad supporting cast yet hes leading his team to the playoffs in the west, PG is in a position to make his team mates better and can will his team to vicotry single handly if the case needs be, DJ should really pattern is game after CP's... DJ isn't playing with D leaguers, hes playing with capable players, he just needs to put it together for the bobcats, and for his game in particular to ascend to the next level.
