I'd love to have him, but we'd probably have to seriously overpay to get him to come here.

    No.

You're going after the wrong Grizz C. We should sign Hamed Haddadi as an unrestricted free agent. Haddadi 7'2" 265 25 yo 2.4 ppg 2.2 rbg in 5 mpg PER is 19.78. He would be practically free. Remember, 2 yrs ago people thought MGasol was a dud. We need low risk high efficiency players to bide time. Get them before they blow up . . . or they suck and help our next draft position.

Don't like "Who's your" Haddadi? Then how about Kyrylo Fesenko? (John Hollinger: Fesenko can help the right team for one single reason: The dude is huge.) 7'1" 280 24 yo. (According to basketballvalue.com, Utah gives up 97.53 points per 100 possessions when he's on the floor … and 109.78 when he isn't.). Unrestricted free agent. Will cost nothing.

Cap space and Roster space are key to rebuilding. NO new contracts over $4/ unless to a tranformational player like CP3 or DH12.

overpaying for a very good (not great) veteran center is not one of the best things we can do. Invest in scouting, draft well, and develop players while maintaining cap space

If Grizzlies beat Thunder then i dont see how you would get Gasol, Im pretty sure memphis wants to keep all its pieces there looking like a championship contender out there, you got a better shot at workin something out for pau gasol after his bad season with LA this year then marc, but if bobcats can match a offer go for it, wouldnt mind, but theres probably alot of teams after him who are better like NY & Miami who need centers. I also wouldnt mind trading a couple players for Rudy Gay (seeing memphis doesnt need him at all and theres already trade rumors with the 76ers for him) but it doesnt look like we have the young talent to even be in the mix

Interesting. Personally, I wouldn't want to bring on Rudy Gay because of that contract but worse things could happen, he's showing improvement. Anyway, I wouldn't give up Henderson (good player on rook contract) and we don't really have much else, they'd have no need for DJ as Conley has been solid.
