Default Bobcats easily had the best draft this year

I would say we finally won a draft, we got two top 5 talent prospects with the 7 & 9th picks. Bad porn will assure we suck enough to get a top 3 pick next year, and I think we should be done rebuilding by 2013 draft which we'll have 2 picks again.

I have this year marked down as win as well. Hopefully next years draft lands up Barnes (a man can dream) and maybe 2 years contend for a good playoff spot.

I'd say we hit a double, If we'd got Kawhi and Kemba it would have been a home run.

why? we're obviously overrating Kawhi because of the absence of Crash, he fell to the 20's and with such big hands it'll be hard for him to ever develop a good J

I just have not been sold yet on Bismack, hopefully he will grow on me, I guess I sounded a bit pessimistic in my last post but don't get me wrong I'm pretty stoked overall with how draft day went.

I think we did about as well as we could... Bismack can contribute on defense right away and Kemba may be the best offensive player to emerge from this draft.

I don't like the idea of drafting long term potential over more finished products in the lottery. Also I feel this team could have stood to add even more offense than just Kemba, especially shooters. I feel the team as it was constructed before the draft was already solid defensively but I felt we could have improved offensively. Also I am a bit baffled why we felt the need to sell our #39 pick. Had we made a deal to bring in a "young" solid veteran I could see it. Another issue is us trading Stephen Jackson to take on similar talent in Corey Maggette while losing Shaun Livingston just to move up to take a long term project in the top 10. I am not a paid NBA scout or GM so I will give this a chance to pan out. We are not the only team taking long term projects in the early lottery in "this" draft so it may be that the "experts" know something people who think like me do not know. The fact that more known talents with offensive skills were passed over for a bunch of European trash says all one needs to know about how the experts saw this draft. That is okay because David Lighty and Ben Hansbrough among others passed over will be better pros than any of these European duds.

To sum this up we took a flyer on a foreign born player in the lottery when there were other more recognizable players just as good if not better to be had at 19.

I'm the exact opposite; mid lottery is exactly the place to take chances on upside...esp. when we're rebuilding as we are. "Safe" picks get you a rotation player, a 6th man, or "depth".

Stellar trade (we won a trade!) and stellar picks. I don't think I've ever been this happy after the draft.

    My optimism is returning!

    Thank God for Cho.
