    Default Kawhi Leonard's descent

Why did SF Kawhi Leonard fall out of the lottery and to #15 ? injury? cocaine? motor?

I think SWedd is the one that mentioned it in chat last night (made sense for us not to take him) is he had the lowest FG% of SF's in the draft. NBA is about putting the ball in the basket, especially for a team that just traded away their 2 leading scorers in the last 4 months.

Well for us at least, he was a bad pick as soon as we went with BB. We need a scoring wing bad, not a defender. Had we taken Klay and Leonard, then sure.

    Detroit wanted a PG
Kings wanted a backcourt mate for Tyreke
    Warriors loved Klay
    Jazz loved Burks

Arguments can be made for both the Suns and Rockets, but it seems like he was just a victim of circumstance is all. Same could be said for Singleton (another rumored top 10 guy).

Don't think it's got much to do with "circumstance" as much as it has to do with talent. Other factors could have contributed to his fall as well. Poor combine results(especially the bench, i mean YIKES), shaky jumper, not a real offensive threat...just doesn't do one thing - other than rebounding, really really well.

He does have the right attitude, work ethic though and he has upside, but he's limited offensively. Rebounding and solid D(not as locked down as Singleton) is what he had to offer at the end of the day. I guess teams that passed on him weren't valuing those attributes highly.

So he was pretty much *meh* in most GMs eyes. Hope he develops well in SA.

I think Hendo is the next MJ. Clearly already a better player than MJ was at this point in his career. Maybe better than SJack. We'll have to see but, this guy looks like 2nd GOAT (behind Allen Iverson) material to me
