Has anyone else played 2k with the updated rosters since the draft? I went on 2k share and downloaded one of the rosters with the draft picks and supposed updated rosters - but whoever did it did an awesome job with the draft picks but there were a few errors. For instance, DJ White and Matt Carroll were free agents, but we had Maggette and everything... So it wasn't horrible. But, they also had several rookies on 1-year deals for some reason - although Kemba and BB were locked in for 3 years at ridiculous rates.
Anyway, I edited their contracts and gave them 3 yr deals + 1 yr team options.
Kemba started as a 76 without me editing his stats. BB started as a 67 or 69 I cant remember. I started Kemba, Hendo, and in a series of trades acquire Paul George who started at SF, Tyrus, and BB. DJ was the 6th man. I kept Dante around as a key role player and the rest of the roster was young guys or expirings.
After the first year, I drafted a backup SG and SF (btw, we finished just out of the playoffs with this team the first year and Kemba was named an all-star).
Larry Brown retired after the 2nd year. They have a bunch of garbage coaches left over, so I took the one with the highest potential and signed him for 1 year - Kurt Rambis. (I wish they would fix the staff hiring process, including hiring assistants from other teams as head coaches)
4 years into Kemba and BBs careers, we won the NBA Championship, Kemba was named regular season and finals MVP, and Rambis was named coach of the year. And DJ and Hendo were more than happy to sign 6-yr extensions before their contracts were over.
(Oh yeah, it didn't hurt that Enes Kanter became a UFA after his rookie season because of how the roster file was made, so I signed him to a 5 year deal, lol)
Just thought I'd share and see if any of you have tried this yet. This was the quickest I've ever won the championship... Got a good feeling about Kemba and BB...
