    Default Michael Thompson let go

    Bobcats cutting jobs

The first ripple from the NBA lockout in Charlotte: the Bobcats’ corporate communications director lost his job Thursday and several more staffers could face a similar fate.
The Bobcats decline comment, citing personnel policies.
Michael Thompson, the director of corporate communications since 2008, confirmed he has left the organization.
Everyone that knows MT understands that he worked tirelessly for the Bobcats. He is a friend of BCP and certainly one of the good guys.

Lets all hope that he finds an even better position very soon.

Yeah..checked his twitter acct and this is his bio line:
Looking to take my talents to. . .anyplace hiring a communications guy.
One of the most challenging times of downsizing (from the corporation's perspective) is trying to retain your very best employees, unfortunately, depending on where your business is headed, their talents and the Company's needs don't always match-up.

    Best of luck to Michael

During the lockout, you had to expect people to be let go. Not sure anyone in the NBA is hiring right now. Would hope that he gets rehired if the lockout ended soon. But my fear is that hte lockout will go on for quite some time and I am sure Michael has to find a new job soon. Best of luck to him!

Maybe BCP is hiring? We don't have money or insurance, but we could come up with some other kind of benefits package.
    SOMEONE will pay for THIS!

We could only afford to take on an employee if they are willing to accept their salary being paid to them in the form of applesauce and Gerald Wallace T-Shirts.

Yeah, I'm pissed, but since MT was the only guy there that I talked to, who do I voice it to?
