Default Kaman @ center for Bobcats

    http://insider.espn.go.com/nba/story...ew-york-knicks

writer thought this could be a possibly, might be an idea. But he also does not know his facts, yes we drafted Tobias Harris but does be know that we traded him also. Just a lockout limbo discussion.

That's an insider article that most cannot see. Would you post a summary/quote of the bit with the Bobcats?

    Enjoy .

    Center
Potential team in need: Charlotte Bobcats
    High-end target: Dwight Howard
    Under-the-radar get: Chris Kaman

Charlotte centers Kwame Brown and Joel Przybilla will be heading into free agency. DeSagana Diop's ruptured right Achilles tendon injury will potentially make him unavailable for the start of the season -- if it were to start on time. Add it all up and the Bobcats might lose all three of their centers from a season ago.

    Enter Kaman.

Kaman had a lackluster 2010-11 campaign due to an injury that limited him to appearing in only 32 games. But he was getting All-Star consideration during the 2009-10 season, and wouldn't hamper Charlotte's payroll for years to come, as he's on an expiring $12.2 million deal in 2011-12.

With the Bobcats selecting PF Tobias Harris and having Tyrus Thomas -- who's of starting quality at PF -- along with D.J. White for depth, it's possible Charlotte could float back Boris Diaw, a player on an expiring $9 million deal in his own right.

There's a chance that the Bobcats might not view sending their starting power forward from last season for Kaman, whose stock has dropped, as the most prudent play this offseason. And the Clippers might only be inclined to do this deal if they're able to retain restricted free agent center DeAndre Jordan. Still, Kaman could be a strong addition at center for Charlotte.
we drafted Tobias Harris...hmmm I think is name was Bismack

That's on ESPN Insider? I was talking to my Pops today about internet typos. I mean if you read Peter King's MMQB, it's riddled with typos. Kaman though? White, ADHD, aging center? I'm good.

I love how they think Boris would get us Kaman...and it'd be us having the 2nd thoughts. Kaman is often injured...but I'd have to think he could pull better than that idea.

Would MJ be willing to give Kaman a three or four year deal?

If we could trade an expiring Boris for an expiring Kaman, I would do that in a heartbeat and feel like I stole something!

I agree, if just for the extra expiring $$$ alone. (Though we'll have to wait and see how trades work under the new CBA). I'd do this rather quickly before they could change their minds.
