I'd love it, even though I'm probably going to be sound asleep before the end of the 1st quarter on the Raiders/Broncos game.
I'm not the biggest football fan going, but I do enjoy settling in for Monday Night Football. What I (and everyone else in the East, I imagine) don't like so much is having the games end near midnight. I've always been curious why they don't have a doubleheader every week...Eastern teams at 7pm, western teams at 10:30pm. That way, everyone can see a full game without it going so late for at least one time zone.
I'm sure they're contractual reasons and all that fun stuff, but contracts can be amended.
Of course this could just be me. Anyone else think the same thing?
I'd love to stay up and watch a double header of MNF. But no way I can stay up for a game starting after 10:00 p.m. when I have to be up in the morning just after 5:30. One exception to the rule is March Madness. That opening round on Thursday, I'm up, no matter what I have to do Friday. I'll deal with it.
I was just mainly thinking of doing a doubleheader so people on each coast would be able to watch one game in it's entirety without having to go to bed late or miss the start because they're at work. Going past midnight is the biggest issue for me and featuring two regional-type games would solve that, I believe.
Of course, this could also mean I'm getting old and/or have a job that frowns upon lateness due to football games.
