Default ESPN at it again and the lockout hasn't even ended yet

ESPN with two reports one being cp3/rondo/mystery third team trade the other howard and turk to the nets for lopez, 2 firsts. of course all are so deep into the rumors phase of information that they can't really cite anyone.

when will ESPN learn that it will eventually cost them viewers and creditability if they keep trying to manufacture and project news stories as opposed to reporting about them?

realgm is reporting the same thing. idk if the sports media is bored, anxious for NBA news or enjoy acting like gossiping hens on the blocks creating drama.

And now the Pacers are looking into Rondo. This is going to be a fun 3 weeks watching all the rumors and the deals being made to get ready for the season to start on Christmas Day. A lot is going to happen - or try to happen at least.

But two league sources confirmed after the story broke that Paul’s agent, Leon Rose, never made the request to the Hornets. “It is just rumors; you can’t control it,’’ Paul said. “It’s always going to happen, and it’s part of the game. I’m just happy to be back with my team.’’ Whether the Hornets trade Paul or he opts out after this season remains unknown. Paul has yet to disclose his plans, and Hornets General Manager Dell Demps was not available the past two days to address the situation. New Orleans Times-Picayune

Through agent Leon Rose, the rising free agent supposedly notified general manager Dell Demps he wants to be dealt to a Knicks team, sooner than later, like today vs. tomorrow ... a Knicks team that can’t remotely reimburse New Orleans. ... I know, I know, so why am I devoting today’s column to it? According to someone very much in the know, this is not true. “Paul made no such trade demand. Rose is simply putting it out there to the media where his client wants to go.” New York Post

if you were espn would you rather be the definitive place a person goes to determine if a rumor was true or false or the rumor mill?
