    Default Kwame being pursued

Brown has numerous suitors coming off his most productive season in eight years. He is believed to have interest in re-signing with the Bobcats as well.

So if I am the Bobcats gm here are the questions I am asking myself:

    1. If I resign K Brown what is that going to mean in terms of wins?

    2. If we are really bad how much is 25 vs 30 wins worth?

    3. By the time we are ready to compete will K Brown be young enough to be a part of that?

My feeling is if he wants to sing for something really reasonable like 5 years 12 million with a team option in the 5th year or one year 3 million that is attractive. Anything more I don't want to commit to and don't really care that much if he is no longer a bobcat.

I'm feeling the same way. We need him, oh lord do we need him, but we cannot put ourselves in a hole by overpaying him. If he wants to get paid and deal with the drama that is Miami or New York that's his call.

ESPN Insider says Knicks have cooled on Kwame, so that is one less competitor to worry about.

I think Miami is our biggest competitor for Kwame's sevices.

Agreed though it would be great to have him back but not for too much.

I hope Biyombo is starting by the deadline anyway.

I think I'd be willing to go 4 mil per year for 2 years, team option on #2, or 16 mil over 5 years player option on year 4, team option on #5. Let us not forget that big men command more $$. That said I'd be much happier at 22 mil 5 year for a younger (but not too young) guy like marc gasol (sorry I'm loving his game, he's so much better than Pau in my opinion and griz won bigtime on that trade!)

Gasol is going to end up with a max deal. He'll be making around 14 million a year to start. No FRICKIN way anybody gets him for 4-5 million a year.

DeAndre Jordan got an offer of 5 yr for $40 mil. That's $8 mil/yr. Kwame will cost at least $10mil/yr, and likely more. Ouch!
