Just read that on the Blazers' board BP...good catch!

Unreal about Oden...and he just signed that QO too. Since it was done after the lockout they can't amnesty him either.

They are saying it would make sense to amnesty Roy now though. This way they'd get instant cap relief instead of having to wait a year from his last game (per NBA rules).

Not sure they'll amnesty Roy, the insurance will pay the bulk of what is remaining in a medical retirement, they could balk at paying anything if Blazers take the amnesty route. Their owner, Paul Allen is rich, but not always smart (i.e. letting Cho go is best example), so he may take one for the team and pay the balance of Roy's contract just for 1 year's worth of cap relief. With Oden's smaller cap hit now, I don't see them doing it.

I don't know quite how that would work (insurance). With the double whammy they just got hit with no doubt they could really use the full MLE.

Hey spectre, it seems as if LMa has some sort of medical condition.

Aldridge should be back in 1-2 weeks after recurrence of heart condition. -- Buchanan

LaMarcus Aldridge will miss at least a week after heart test reveals another episode of Wolf-Parkinson-White syndrome -Oregonian

    Have faith in that pick

Wolf-Parkison-White isn't a huge deal. he will probably end up needing another ablation (where they zap/sever a nerve in the heart that isn't supposed to be there).

They have the mighty Crash. By his will alone that pick will be no better than mid-teens.

Maybe they need to start throwing a squid onto the court before games or something. Whoever put that curse on Portland is damn good.

    Paul Allen Karma, Part 2.

Seriously, what else can explain all this shit? I feel bad for Oden, Roy, LMA, and surely Crash is going to get a concussion on the first diving layup he makes this season, isn't he?

It's a sign, Paul. Sell. Go away. Far away.

Forgive my lack of knowledge, but what's this karma story about?
To be honest, its kind of sad for Roy, but thats what you get for not wanting at all to play in Charlotte (kidding btw).
Oden already another setback also after 1 year on the sidelines, what the hell is wrong with him?
He cant even go through normal rehab...

My point on Allen is between Oden and Roy, he's got karma biting him in the ass for being a complete dick at life, and a horrible owner. Just like Johnson had karma bite him when he was forced to sell by his creditors here. I'm not saying Cuban or Arison or Buss or Grousbeck/Pagliuca are saints, but Allen is one of the worst. If Cho was honest, I think he'd say the same things.

The city of Portland doesn't deserve this, but Paul Allen does.
