His court date isn't even until the 19th. Also, this isn't Woj or Spears reporting it either.

I think Bismack will play this year, he seems supremely confident. Maybe he knows something the rest of us. Lets just wait until the 19th an see

    Nice catch.

Either way I think he's playing shortly after. Worst case we'll foot the 525k and Smack'll borrow the rest.

This would be criminal (relatively speaking) if he can't play here this year. I mean, just in terms of filling up the roster we need him, not to mention the experience and PT he would get playing NBA minutes as opposed to Euro minutes. Got to make this happen, fellas.

Jordan can just sign him to a Jump man contract to offset the buyout if need be.

Hopefully we can pay the $525,000 and he can borrow the rest to pay off the $2 mil they want.

The NBA will not allow Jordan to circumvent a player's contract like that.

This doesn't quite pass the smell test for me, especially considering the court date is the 19th. If his contract has a buyout in it and he (along with help from the Bobcats) pays it, then I don't see him not being let out of it. Could that tweet be talking about this report shortly after he was drafted? Basically saying that his Spanish team wasn't going to let him go without getting it's full buyout amount?

It's clearly about getting the full buyout, not keeping Bismack in their uniform. I mean, Boris it tweeting pictures of Bismack with the Checkers' mascot at their game tonight. It's not like Biyombo is coming back.
