PG: Kemba
SG: Hendo
SF: Maggette
PF: Diaw
C: Smack
That would be my starting 5.
Umm. the season starts Monday. It's not too early to do anything.
Its obviously gonna start out like:
DJ
Hendo
Maggs
Tyrus
Diaw
and it should.
We have a log jam at PF in my opinion. I think DJ White is one hell of a player, and will be pressing for time amongst Diaw/Tyrus. Which is why I think DJ White should get some time at Center.
Hear me out. He has a better center body than Diaw but still fits in with the whole run and gun style better than Diop could. Rebounds, works hard and if he is left open within 20 feet... its money. Ultimately you want your best 5 players starting and I think the list above is how we start.
PG: Kemba
SG: Hendo
SF: Maggette
PF: Diaw
C: Smack
That would be my starting 5.
Not knowing how Smack and a few others are playing as well as putting in our injuries and assuming Cunningham will not be back, I think we start off like this:
PG: DJ Augustin (30 min)
SG: Gerald Henderson (35 min)
SF: Corey Maggette (25 min) (Derrick Brown, if Maggette is still injured)
PF: Tyrus Thomas (30 min)
C: Boris Diaw (35 min)
Off the Bench:
PG Kemba Walker (30 min)
SF: Derrick Brown (10 min)
PF/C's: Smack Attack (20 min) & DJ White(15 min), Diop (5 min) Mullins (5 min)
I really don't want to see Diop play even for 5 minutes, but I could see this happening, and even more if they push him. Now I only have 35 of 48 minutes covered at SF, thats because I think we'll see Diaw shift around some as well. Once Reggie Williams gets back and is healthier I think this will really shift around and Diaw and Brown won't see as much PT. Also I think whoever are the most productive to start the season off at PF and Center will see increasing time.
I'll give this a shot....
PG: DJ Augustine - 30 mins
SG: Gerald Henderson - 32 mins
SF: Corey Maggette - 28 mins
PF: Tyrus Thomas - 30 mins
C: Boris Diaw - 34 mins
2nd Unit (in order)
PG: Kemba Walker - 22 mins
SF: Derrick Brown - 12 mins
PF: DJ White - 10 mins
PF/C: Bismack Biyombo - 10 mins
C: Byron Mullens - 4 mins
C: Desagna Diop - 4 mins
SG: Matt Carroll - 4 mins
I like DJ White, and like most everyone agree we need to see what we have in Tyrus. Based off last night, he can't play off the dribble and we can't design plays for him that allow that freedom. I would like to see him in more pick and rolls since he is a good shooter, and can do some damage rolling to the basket. Walker will start out as this team's 6th man, but if he's playing well I can see the team moving DJ for a big backup PG and a late 1st round draft pick, and letting Kemba take over. I think starting out they will bring Bismack along slowly, but by midseason he'll be getting 20 minutes a game. I don't know if DJ White can play the "3" consistently, but that would be a way to get him more time if he could.

I think Hendo is the next MJ. Clearly already a better player than MJ was at this point in his career. Maybe better than SJack. We'll have to see but, this guy looks like 2nd GOAT (behind Allen Iverson) material to me
My self-indulgent lineup:
Kemba
Jr.
Isma'il (won't be on the roster, I know)
Biz
Diaw
Lineup that is in the Cats best interest:
