I sure hope we are. With them playing like that, we might get a nice little trade out of them
Both these guys are in contract years, I doubt very much that MJ wants to give either of them big long term contracts. DJ was playin nice tonight no doubt, but its obvious the fanbase is not going to be content for long with Kemba sitting out the end of games and only getting 20 minutes etc. But DJ is still a nice young PG and Boris a large expiring putting up near triple double numbers. I think Cho can find us a nice deal for these guys either together or packaged separately.
LMAO. What the hell does Boris Diaw have to do to get a break? Dude has a damn near triple double, plays his ass off against one of the best teams in the league and the first topic is about how we are going to get rid of him.
Into the crevasse!

I LOVE what Boris is doing out there but as Steve said he isn't part of the future of this team. Our core is Kemba-Hendo-Bismack and maybe even Mullens. You can throw Tyrus in there too because we gave him the long term deal.
I think we need to take a shot at acquiring Dwight Howard if MJ could possibly get him the resign. Seriously I would think the Bobcats would be as attractive a destination as NJ(or Brooklyn) especially with as promising as Kemba, Hendo and Bismack look now.
I am about 90% sure both will be traded by the deadline. Diaw will be valuable to a contender and DJ is a valuable young asset. As far as Dwight goes, no way will he resign with Charlotte. We'd have to lure another big star beforw he'd consider.
Trade him for 2 first rounders in this draft, possibly with DJ involved.
Trade with those 2 rounders upwards to a higher draft pick.

We should try and keep Diaw. He might not cost that much and he does a lot of things really well. Even a rebuilding team needs a few vets and Boris is only 28. His best years in the NBA could be his next four due to his style of play. If he has a good attitude and wants to stay with the team just keep him.
DJ is playing really well and while I would trade him for a good pick, I don't think we are desperate to move him. Teams have a much better chance of signing restricted free agents to reasonable contracts. Kemba isn't ready to do it all on his own and depth is always a plus due to the random nature of injuries. If we can't get a top 20 pick there is no reason to give up the leverage of our position.
