Wow unbelievable, cant believe its that hard for you fans in the Carolinas to get bobcats games on TV. Living in NY is easier to get Bobcats games on TV I guess.
so, I'm excited about the future of the Charlotte Bobcats. With our football team dismantled,
I need something else to fill my internet time.
After the opening win and the last second loss to the Heat last night, I decided to pony up the
170 bucks for NBA League pass so I could watch the team develop this year. Called up time warner,
....took a little long to give them my 170 bucks for the service, but ok.
I'm told the service is now active. I can see every game except the replay of the Bobcats game.
I call TWC and go through the automation which eventually sends a reset code.
Doesn't work.
Call and wait to talk to a live person who tells me to do a hard re-boot (unplug) and if it doesn't work,
call back.
Doesn't work.
Call back and finally get a live person. 45 minutes of "bear with me." Right at the beginning I say,
"am I being blacked out? I live in Myrtle Beach. I can't drive 4 hours on a weeknight to see a game and
drive 4 hours back home. I have a job. I'm trying to pay, trying to give you my money to watch the games
on tv."
It take s45 minutes for TWC to determine I am blacked out, and they say it's the choice of the Bobcats.
So I cancel the service.
and call the Bobcats....you ain't gonna get anyone to talk to you unless you're ordering tickets...seriously, those
are the only options. So I punch an extension and lo and behold, a live voice. I explain the situation, and tell
Kevin I'm not gonna drive to the game, but I'm willing to pay Michael or TWC so I can watch em.
He says it's a cable provider decision.
So I've got a 170 bucks...who wants to do sushi?

I hear you my friend. I live in the Upstate. I am 1.5 hrs from the arena. Our cable provider is Charter. Cable guide shows we should be getting Bobcat games, but they are always blocked out. End up getting poker, or some SEC womens basketball game or something else. Was told that our cable provider will not pay the price to the NBA/Bobcats to show the games. Then why do they even list it in the guide? These people are freakin' idiots. Would think the Bobcats and these other cable providers would be able to work something out. Until then, I'll watch on the Internet - for free.
