Our bigs were absolutely manhandled...but Silas only played our "toughest player" 2 minutes til the end of the game?

Silas said it wasn't all Kemba's fault...that guys wouldn't shoot when they got open (what plow said). That it was Mully getting pushed around underneath by guards.

Is it everyone's fault but the coach?
We've gone back and forth on this. And I still don't think its fair to blame a coach (who we know can win) for a roster that has to get solid minutes from Matt Freaking Carroll and has 4 borderline league starters injured.

BUT... not playing Bismack any more than he does, is starting to seem like criminal negligence.

At this point, I am gonna try and remember its a long season and that maybe Silas is trying to not let him get exposed too much at once. But I really see no reason Smack shouldn't have played 25 minutes last night. that is frustrating.

No reason to change coaches now. Finish out the season in dismal fashion. We will have the #1 pick. Get a new coach at that point so he can have some say so in the draft selection. With some young talent and the #1 pick, MJ may actually get a good coach for us. Maybe.

1st game without your starting point guard and you start the rookie who we all agree is shooting too much and not getting people involved in the offense consistently.

These same plays almost beat the Heat when we had DJ healthy and Kemba coming off the bench.

I was talking with someone and we were talking about how this team has a lot of players who have never been "spotlight" players. Meaning that outside of Kemba and maybe Gerald, we don't have guys who have asked to be starters and perform night in and night out.

This is what you get when you have a group of young players adjusting to the NBA in a compacted, crazy schedule. The growing pains are going to be hard and I've accepted it. But as a coach myself, you're only as good as your players. Silas can't MAKE them play with fire and aggression, and if you go in and beat them down, then things will be worse than they are. He's exercising a lot of patience, and I'm really surprised he hasn't resigned honestly because he really deserves better than this. If it was anywhere but Charlotte I think he would have been gone by now.

Jordan isn't going to fire him because he knows the situation and he knows Paul did a great job last year. And who would come in here and coach us? God knows I'd spare myself the headache, lol.

Play out the season with Silas. Let run the course on the team we got. By the end of the year, we will have a better understanding on who is part of the future and who is not. There is so much this man can do with this team. I just want to see progression by the end of the year. Progress with the team and with the players themselves. If he can do that, Ill be happy. We can get one of the top talents, if not the top talent in this year draft. Rebuilding sucks but we have to do it.

Silas is who he is - he's not a great coach, and he's not a bad coach. It's kind of like last year with John fox and the panthers, he's good enough to get a team to the playoffs, but if there's not much talent, then they can have the worst record in the league. They're both average coaches who's system and coaching will look good with talent and bad without.

The complaint I do have about Silas are some of his rotations. There should never be a time in a game when more than one of the following players are on the floor at the same time: Carroll, najera, diop, Higgins, and third trimester Diaw. I know they should get some time based on their work in practice, but holy crap I can't watch them all together in a collective attempt to bring back Naismith era basketball.

Aside from not playing Biyombo enough, which is a huge head scratcher mind you, there really isn't much he can do. We're a bad team with key injuries. Receipt for diaster.

Anyone see Derrick Brown running around like a chicken with it's head cut off last night. He was literally setting screens on thin air, he wasn't the only one either. Several times i saw players running into each other, than looking at each other like "uhhh do i move or do you move bro".

I literally fell asleep watching last night's game. I have never done that before....ever.

I know some people don't want Silas to go, but that's BS to me, because i think his son, Stephen, would do a better job of coaching this team.

I think Hendo is the next MJ. Clearly already a better player than MJ was at this point in his career. Maybe better than SJack. We'll have to see but, this guy looks like 2nd GOAT (behind Allen Iverson) material to me
