Default 2012-13 Season Ticket Renewal Thread

This is the body of the email I just received...thoughts? Pricing will be flat like our win total.

As 2012 progress on the court, it also progresses in the Bobcats front office. We are working diligently to finish out this year strong and plan for next season at the same time.

With that said, in the next 48 hours you will receive information regarding your 2012-13 renewal. While I do not want to spoil the news, there will be a few items to look out for.

First, is the official announcement of our Cats365 program. Many of you had a chance to participate in this program last summer, and based on your positive feedback, we will continue this program in the years to come.

    Second, pricing is flat.

Third, there will be extended payment options including a 12 month option.

Lastly, we will be giving away numerous items to our 2012-13 season ticket holders. During the week of February 13th alone, we will be giving away a computer, five (5) ipads, and a trip to the All-Star game.

Again, please be on the lookout for additional information regarding the above in the coming days. I hope that you are as excited as I am and I look forward to seeing you at Time Warner Cable arena.

Interesting. I knew they certainly couldn't charge more for next season based on the product on the floor but thought there'd be at least a slight chance they'd lower prices. They've certainly done that before. I guess having the lockout and losing those games killed any chance of lowering the prices. As long as they keep the same perks going, I'm cool with everything. Also nabbing one of those iPads wouldn't hurt, either.

I think them introducing a 12 month payment option is their way of making prices more affordable in a roundabout way. I haven't decided exactly what I'm going to do. I'm split between not renewing and upgrading and maybe moving to the lower level, lol.

Cats365 is their service programs to the community, they started inviting season ticket holders to join the players and executives on community service projects.

Same general stuff as the first letter. but Fred going out of his way to outline the teams long term plan. Including: naming the organizations core and "at least" one new college player( draft pick trade coming?).

There are two facets of every sports organization. Both sides impact our season ticket holders and I wanted to update you on where we stand for each.

On the court, we are a developing team. As a season ticket holder, you are aware that we made a conscious decision this past season to improve the long term prospects of having a team that can truly compete in the Eastern Conference. We were able to secure 2 top 10 picks in last year's draft, acquire future draft picks and give our organization the salary cap flexibility needed to become a true player in free agency. Going into next season we have a core of young players like Gerald Henderson, Kemba Walker, Bismack Biyombo, and Byron Mullins. We will be adding at least one of the premier college players in what is regarded as the best draft in recent memory. Also, the cap space we have created will allow us to pursue high quality free agents and retain our own players over the next 2 years. We know this has been a difficult season to date, however, we hope through all of the injuries and growing pains you can see that we are forging a clear direction to give you the type of team you can be proud of.

Off the court, we hope you have noticed our commitment to customer service and our game presentation. We have worked hard to make sure each and every night is an enjoyable experience for you and your guests. Next year will be no different as we continually try to find ways to improve your experience as a customer. For this upcoming season you will see numerous benefits that are exclusive to season ticket holders. These benefits include:
*NEW* Extended Payment Options - you can elect to spread your payments to 12 months if you elect our automatic renewal option or 10 months on our standard renewal option.
*NEW* Cats 365 Membership - Cats 365 is a year round membership available to our season ticket holders only. Cats 365 will allow you to attend events and meet other season ticket holders with common interests. Our goal is to foster relationships between our season ticket holders 12 months out of the year, and not just during the six months that basketball is being played. Whether you are a business looking for new clients, or a family spending quality time together, Cats 365 will assist in facilitating your 2012 goals. Why purchase a membership in a networking group or pay for family outings when you can get the same results for being a Bobcats season ticket holder?
*NEW* 54 Days of Giveaways - we are giving away over 70 items to our 2012-13 season ticket holders over the course of 54 days. These items range from ipads to televisions. Please see the link above for a complete listing of items.

Price Freeze - Your price will be the same as it was this season.
For a listing of all of your season ticket holder benefits, please click here.

I want to personally thank you for the support of our organization. The energy in the building has been tremendous this season and our attendance is pacing ahead of last season. We appreciate everything that you do as a season ticket holder and look forward to having you part of the organization for the years to come.

I renewed tonight on the 10 month plan. With the credit from the lockout, the first 2 1/4 payments were applied to the credit, so the first charge won't hit until end of May and the last charge will be made last day of December. I thought about the automatic renewal, but they need to continue to show progress (drafting, free agency and player development) before they go on any sort of automatic renewal plan, at least from me.

I'm shocked Tyrus wasn't up there. Think they've given up on him like most of the rest of us?
Hope Resurrected: "I think I can bring an attitude to a team as far as, All right, no matter what, we are not losing this game'." - Kemba Walker
